Tiffany Evans is a rising teenage star who is quickly making a name for herself in the entertainment industry. As a singer, actress and dancer, she is a triple threat and a force to be reckoned with. She has starred in hit movies, has a hit single with Ciara, and has worked with several A-list artists and producers…All before turning 16 years old. AllThatsFab.com invites you to get to know more about Tiffany Evans.

ATF: So, Who is Tiffany Evans, for those of our readers who don’t know?

TE: Tiffany Evans is your dreamgirl (laughs). Tiffany Evans is music. Tiffany Evans is everything sweet and sugar and spice, and gorgeousness. I’ve never really had to explain myself before! (laughs)

ATF: So I hear you’ve been at this for quite some time. When did you get started singing, and dancing?

TE: Well, I got started in this business when I was 9 years old. I competed on this show called “Star Search”, the new version with Arsenio Hall. I won on Star Search, and I got my deal with Sony when I was 10. After that, I did Oprah twice, I’ve been on Jay Leno, MTV’s “You Hear it First”, then the movies and the TV shows started coming. I did “Law & Order”, Tyler Perry’s “The Diary of a Mad Black Woman”, and a few other things. That all led up to now, and got me where I am today.

ATF: You’re 14 now, correct?

TE: I’m actually 15, I’ll be 16 this year.

ATF: And where are you from?

TE: I’m from the Bronx, originally.

ATF: How did growing up in the Bronx make you the person that you are today?

TE: Being from the Bronx is very humbling. I was always a very down to Earth person. A lot of people from NY are not not very sweet (laughs). You know, a lot of people from the Bronx are very hard core. I can be hard core, but I’m just very sweet. I feel like where I’m from keeps me down to Earth.

ATF: Do you currently live in New York or did you move?

TE: I live in Jersey now.

ATF: In your own words, can you describe your sound to us?

TE: My sound is very pop, R&B soul. Its very fun. I make music that everyone can relate to, or hopefully everyone can relate when they listen to me. Its not limited at all, just very fun and laid back.

ATF: So the new single, “Grown” features Bow Wow. Can you explain the concept of the song? How important was it for you to write, or perform this song?

TE: You know, I really felt like the song was written for me. Rodney Jerkins produced the song. Basically, I was so glad that we found a record like this. I was waiting for that one record in which I was able to express the way I feel, and this record does it to a T. It’s a record talking about how I feel that I deserve respect, and how I’ve grown up. I’m not grown in my age, and of course there’s a lot of things that I still have to learn, but there are a lot of things that I’ve also been through, but you wouldn’t really know unless you’ve walked in my shoes. I’ve learned a lot. I handle my responsibilities, I’m doing my thing, I’m very focused. That’s what I feel like being grown is all about. Its all about handling your business, being focused and not letting anybody get in the way of what you’re trying to do in life, whether its with school, or at your job. Its about doing things to benefit yourself in the end and not letting anyone step on your toes.

ATF: What was it like working with Bow Wow? Was he always someone that you wanted to work with?

TE: Yes! Most definitely. He is so sweet, and I love working with him. He’s like my big brother, and he’s an amazing artist as well. He’s so humble, and it was a pleasure working with him.

ATF: How was it working with Ciara, on your song, “Promise Ring”?

TE: Same thing! She’s just very humble, sweet and she’s focused. She’s just a great person to be around, so I had fun working with her.

ATF: Who are some of the artists that you grew listening to and admiring?

TE: My inspiration is Whitney Houston, I love her to death. Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, you know. I grew up listening to a lot of the older artists that paved the way for all of us. They had great music, and they always had something to say and it was always true. You felt the way that they sang their songs, you felt it! That definitely got me really wanting to sing.

ATF: What’s something about Tiffany Evans that the average person doesn’t or wouldn’t know?

TE: (Laughs) Ummm…that I’m very weird. (laughs) That would be a question that my brother would answer. I’m very weird and goofy. I like to crack jokes and make fun at a lot of things. I would just say that I’m a weird person, and sometimes you may not understand me. (laughs)

ATF: (laughs) Ok. The album is called…

TE: The album is called “Tiffany Evans”

ATF: Are you shooting a video with the Bow Wow single?

TE: Oh yes, we just shot the video!

ATF: When can we see that?

TE: It should be released online at the end of this month.

ATF: Ok, cool! Are there any last words that you would like to leave us with?

TE: Don’t forget about the album! Its self-titled “Tiffany Evans” so it won’t be that hard to find in the stores! (laughs) Thank y’all so much. I love my fans dearly. Keep God first, and stay focused!
