Have you ever met someone, and, right off the bat, you could tell that they were a great person? I met Jordy Writes at a party a few months ago, and he just seemed like a sweet, nice, humble guy. It turns out, that he’s extremely talented too. At such a young age, he already has a few big songwriting projects under his belt. There is definitely more to him than meets the eye. Let’s get to know more about Jordy….

1.) Tell us a little bit about yourself and what it is you do for a living:

Well I guess the name says it all, I’m an up and coming songwriter who’s written for Omarion, Casely, and Carl Thomas so far, and hopefully Mya really soon, I am also trying to get into getting some screenplays put to big screen when the time comes.

2.) How did you get started in your career?

Well I’ve been in the music industry now for 6 years I started as an A&R (Artist and Repertoire) for a management company that managed an artist signed to BadBoy at the time and another signed to Jive, and going to the studio with them and being able to put in my ideas about song titles even melodies gave me a rush… I loved it so after I stopped being an A&R I started writing and I’ve been doing so now for about 2 years and some change.

3.) Are you single or taken?

I’m taken actually and as of the moment my girl’s away for college so it works cause of what we’re both trying to accomplish but then again it’s tough when you want to see each other which for us is all the time.

4.) If you were about to go on a blind date, and you had to describe yourself to that person, what would you tell them?

Physically? LOL ok well I would have to say that I’m a pretty funny dude and I’m very energetic, but then again I can also be very passionate, affectionate, and caring. I’m also an intellectual so I like girls that can hold a convo about anything intriguing.

5.) Describe your ideal woman:

This is gonna sound corny but I think I found her, LOL one that completes me, that has everything I don’t, you know? We have similarities though, but not in a competitive way, if different, but more like a way in which it compliments me, like if I spend a lot of money, she doesn’t like to spend a lot of money etc. Basically I want that and what every other man wants, a girl to hold him down when it’s rough. A rider LOL

6.) We’re sure that you get approached a lot by women. What is the craziest thing that a woman has done to get your attention?

LOL I’m gonna kill C Jay LOL… I actually do I dunno why, but the craziest would have to be I was walking down times square and this girl grabbed my crotch (seriously I’m embarrassed LOL) and turned around and flicked her tongue at me but I was like, “what the hell?” and kept on walking.. another was on the train and a girl pretended like she was gonna sit on my lap but I guess it’s cause I seem unaware of women that they do that LOL I dunno just my theory.
7.) What is the quickest way for a woman to get dismissed by you?

Well she’d have to be extremely ghetto I mean cause I don’t mind a little ghetto ’cause that’s where I’m from, but I mean to the point where she’s not classy at all… That’s what came to mind but I’m sure there might be more I’m kinda picky LOL

8.) What is something that no one knows about you?

I’m such a dork LOL in the biggest sense. I got comic book collections, I love movies like StarWars and Lord of the Rings. I read a lot and listen to classical and country music, and I’m a slight introvert. I’m a hermit…

9.) What do you do to chill out and relax?

Besides the above? LOL if I’m not near my girl we spend time on iChat and on the phone, or I’ll chill with friends. I’m kinda over all that being in clubs and all that.

10.) Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself as one of the most profound and prolific writers of this lifetime and probably becoming and artist myself, besides being successful in the fields I want to get into, I see myself giving back to my community and showing that a little hoodrat boy from the Bronx can make it, despite the adversity and doubt and trouble, that’s where I see myself in 5 years or less.

God is my rock and my fortress, when you know that He is… Then your life becomes more than just a title, it becomes a novel…
