Not only is SOHO the best area in Manhattan to shop, but you can also find yourself dinning at the best restaurants & bars in the city. I just can’t get enough of SOHO, and now one of my favorite bars in the area: BAR 89. I visited Bar 89 back in ‘04 just to get a couple of drinks, I promised myself I would eat there someday, so this weekend I stopped by and I’m so glad I did!

What’s great about this place is it’s so classy, the food is great, and it’s all at a reasonable price! Great place for the fabulous and broke, like myself . The food ranges from about $8.00-$17.00, while the alcoholic bevarages average from about $12.o0 per drink.

For an appetizer, I definitely recommend the Nacho Supreme. Trust me, it doesn’t matter how hungry you are, the half plate of nachos for $12.00 will do it for you, if you get the full plate, you’ll be uncomfortably full before your entree comes out. The Teryaki Pork Salad and Greek Salad (both under $15.00) are so tastey, and like a bottomless pit. They are not cheap when it comes to salads, lemme tell you that. You will not leave this place hungry.

Everyone always says, “Even if you don’t have to use the restroom, go ahead and check it out. It’s a cool experience.” And that it is. Upon entering the bathroom the doors are all see through. As you close the door behind you, they cloud up. It’s pretty cool. I’ve posted some pictures for you to see for yourself. But I recommend you visit the place.
