Okay, so you’re in Brooklyn and looking for a hot spot to eat, drink, hang out and meet beautiful people. We’ve got the perfect place!
Habana Outpost in Fort Greene, Brooklyn is the perfect summer chill spot. After hitting up the Brooklyn Hip Hop festival, I was starving, and in the mood for some Mexican food. Of course, I knew exactly where to go.
Habana is an interesting place. Its ALWAYS packed, especially at night, and you have to sort of fight for a seat after standing in line waiting to place your order. Then, after placing your order, you have to hand your ticket to a cook in a bright red truck turned kitchen. This may seem like a lot to go through to get some tacos, but its well worth it.
The All That’s Fab favorites are the famous cooked corn, chicken quesadillas (yum!), and the frozen Mojitos. The food is inexpensive, and prepared right on the spot. In addition, the beautiful people and colorful decor make this a perfect landmark in Brooklyn.

I love Habana Outpost but I agree that it’s always packed and I hate that the food takes forever. The food is really good (so is the atmosphere), but I have to brace myself before I got there.
I love it there. I went for the first time in June.

OMG-I’ve been raving about this place since I ran into it while walking my dog last summer. I think I went there every Sunday for the entire summer. AWESOME place to people watch, frozen mojitos are slow creepers to get u twisted and the food is great out doorsy finger food. A+, this place was my secret!!! I hope it stays as amazing as it is!
talking about the Habana Outpost food, maybe there should be more people that question their sanitary standards…. like the Department of Health and mental Hygiene did!!!!!
just in the last two months they have been inspected 3 times and recieved a whopping total of 164 violations.
4/30/2009 they received 64 sanitry violations.
5/19/2009 they received 94 sanitary violations
5/22/2009 they received 6 sanitary violations.
just look at some of the violations and why they were shut down. and they posted a sign outside saying they were closed for spring cleaning.. Shame on you SEAN and LOPETI!!!!!!
