I really thought the 4ourFront Fashion Event hosted by Tyson Beckford at Nikki Beach was going to be a great turnout. I was excited about attending this event all week, but what a bummer! It really wasn’t all what I thought it was going to be. First of all they were only serving Henny on the house (YUCK), the fashion show didn’t start until really late, and they were being crazy at the door saying it was too crowded inside. When I did finally get inside
it wasn’t crowded at all. But, besides that, it wasn’t all so bad. It was more of a relaxed crowd, and the fashion show was alright. Tyson Beckford did actually show up, along with Sincerely Ward, and some random twins that had the same hair and outfit on (?).
I left while the models were walking down the runway and ended up at some other hot spots in the city.

i would like to make some comments to get facts straight to whoever wrote this:
1: this event was NOT tyson beckford’s event, it had nothing to do with him, he was fortunately there, it was a charity event hosted by The Fashion Report and FOURFRONT clothing that had a show there at the same time.
2: im sorry if henny is not your favorite drink , but it was on the house, there was a full bar that had anything you could of wanted but i guess you were too cheap to pay for a drink.
3: about the door situation: if you were on the list then there shouldnt of been a problem getting in.
4: nobody important at the party ? guess you werent that important either since nobody noticed you and your the only one jocking tyson.
thanks for the comments !!!
so sorry mr. wong that this post got your panties in a bunch. but if you must know i did end up paying for my own drink, a mojito, and it was pretty good. and i was on the list, but the bouncers wanted to make the party seem so important that they had everyone waiting outside like the party was that serious when it wasn’t.
i heard later that the event was actually supposed to be hosted by tyson beckford, I didn’t believe it & never even saw him in there, but when I saw pictures of him then I thought maybe it was true.
i apologize if this post hurt your feelings.
LMFAO!!!! Mr. Wong and Tina- you both are killing me right now!!
I also attended this affair and there are some points that you BOTH make that I agree with…
1. The show did start really late but I was having fun mingling and enjoying the Henny while they were getting everything together, so I didn’t mind too much.
2. I wouldn’t say that “nobody was there”; there was a couple industry folks and models that made the party more interesting. I guess the way people hyped it up beforehand is what disappointed Tina.
Overall I had a good time, and it was put together by Fashion Report and I’m all about supporting my “people” so I’m glad I went.

Lord
Obviously Mr. Wong had something to do with this event. I didn’t attend, so I don’t have anything to say about how it went, and really, its not that deep. This is our site, and we have the right to say whatever the hell we want. The event review really wasn’t all that bad in the first place. While we appreciate all comments, if you had something to say to Tini directly, a professional e-mail would have sufficed, rather than a comment that included a personal attack.
“Too cheap to pay for a drink”. Yeah, that’s real professional. If you’re going to be an event planner and invite press to your event, get used to receiving all types of feedback, whether positive or negative.
I htought the event was dope. I rsvp’d with the right people and walked straight in. I waited a whole 3 minutes outside. When i got in i was whisked to a nice seat right in front of the runway next to Liris Crosse and Daryl Chill Mitchell. My friend and I had a blast. the invite did say the show would start at 12. Everyone pretty much left after the show and headed to ?uest for Obahma
Unfortunately you needed to spend money if u wanted to drink. But thats Nikke Beach for you. They do high profile events. Had Henny actually sponsored no 1 would of got in.
im glad some people had a good time and im glad to hear the bad things also , im always welcomed to reviews. its just alittle funny how the facts were just not right. and by somebody saying “First of all they were only serving Henny on the house (YUCK)!” – that only means one thing to me…… free liquer, but guess somebody else had another thought. thats my 2 cents.
im a lady, and i dont like henny. that’s all. i bet a lot of people like henny. but im the type of female that likes apple martinis and fruity drinks, that’s all. and i didn’t even give a bad review. like i said it was alright and laid back.
Went to the event–should have stayed home–’nuff said.
all good , i didnt take it in any way.
I agree with Mags. The only thing I enjoyed really was the wine sorbet. Fashion Show was cool, but the door drama was SPOT ON. The anticipation for what’s inside didn’t match the hype and foolishness on the line outside.
And damn near everyone was on the list so that “important” comment was uncalled for
yeah i agree the door thing was alittle crazzy but thats the club’s fault ……….
I got there at 9:30, there was a line forming but it wasn’t hard getting in. They ran out of henny at about midnight which was frustrating but besides that I had a bottle at my table.
