Carrie Bradshaw in her teenage years….”Sex and the City” author Candace Bushnel is writing teen novels. “The Carrie Diaries,” it takes readers back to Carrie’s formative years in high school, giving an inside look at her friendships, romances and how she realized her dream of becoming a writer, Harper Collins announced Wednesday.

The first  book will debut in 2010. Bushnell’s publeisher issued a statement made by the author that said, “Carrie in  high school did not follow the crowd – she led it. It was there she began observing and commenting on the social scene.”

Her Fifth Novel is coming out this month, “One Fifth Avenue.”  I absolutely can’t wait.  

Besides being a die hard SATC fan, I have read “Lipstick Jungle” by Bushnell and am following the series which made it debut last fall.   It’s not Sex and The City, but Brooke Sheilds and the girls are fabulous!
