Last night, I attended the Ludacris concert held at Highline Ballroom. I went in there with big expectations–It’s New York, and whenever there’s a concert in New York expect surprise guests to perform also. Well to sum it all up, I had a great night. The free Nuvo was on point! And the food.. Oh my God the food was spectacular (Okay, I’m greedy).. Moving on.. Surprise guests included Jadakiss, Juelz Santana, T-Pain (not surprised), LL Cool J, & Jim Jones. Dj Premier was also hanging out in the VIP, when it got too crowded I heard him mumble “There’s no way in hell I’m staying up here…”I was getting a little anxious, the show was supposed to start at 8:00pm and by 10:00pm Luda still hadn’t hit the stage. I was going to give him 2 more minutes to get on before heading out, but Angie Martinez announced just in time that the show was about to start. I’m happy I stayed, and I’m happy I didn’t eat before I went there because the food was great. (lol).
Luda performed a lot of tracks from his first album which got the crowd really going. T-Pain got on stage and did a few tracks from his new album. The last surprise performance was from Dipset’s Juelz Santana and Jim Jones.
The crowd up in VIP was great. We were dancing, eating, and drinking. I ran into my girl Lexie from Straight Outta NYC, Mel Testemark, Priscilla Monteiro from The Fashion Reporter, and Carl (XXL and FunkyMinds ). Overall it was a great night. Check out some of the videos:
