Over the weekend ATF’s own Ian Jarrell attended the Hollywood Vintage Gala at the Landrover Manhattan dealership. The gala was put together to benefit the Toy for Tots Charity. The event was very upscale and elegant. Dawn Richard of Danity Kane was the host and the event was put on by The Fashion Reporter & 2R’s Entertainment & Media. When I arrived at the event I was really surprised that it was so laid back. There was no lines or bouncers. That was so surprising. The events theme was Vintage Hollywood. I was kind of disappointed that everyone wasn’t dressed up. Some women had on long classy dresses, some women had on latex tights and corsets (lol)..I was just happy that I went with the theme, kind of made me feel special..
The party was very on point and organized. The press was told every single person that walked the carpet. If you aren’t on televison or on a billboard, it’s hard for me to know who you are. So Ra-Fael holding up the sign helped ALOT!! There were a lot of people I have never heard of before at the event, but everyone needs some good press.
Our past fab man Miguel Perdomo came through the event to get his drink on and mingle. When asked what he thought about the theme he responded with a simple answer:
“The theme is dope, I really like the whole vintage hollywood thing”.
Miguel always comes off as the laid back, chill type dude. We love that in our fab men. If you didn’t know Miguel is actually a part-time graphic designer. It shocks me everytime I hear models doing something else, other then modeling. That’s a really good look for the supermodel..
I was really feeling Dawn Richard’s outfit at the event. You could tell it wasn’t vintage, but it still fit the overall theme. She looked very fresh and put together. Go head girl!
Now this has been on my mind since the party. Why was Dawn by herself, when Que of Day26 was suppose to be her co-host. I am also hearing rumors that Making The Band is shooting right now. The MTV film crew is following Day26 and Donnie Klang. I just hope everything works out over at Bad Boy Entertainment…
The party was also sponsored by Bloomingdales. They supplied the gift bags for the guest. The most funny thing that was in the gift bags was some Dr.Miracle Hair Cream. That gave me a good laugh. I doubt many of the guest will need to use that.
Overall the event was very nice. I like going to these upscale events every now and then. It’s nice to see another side of NYC…
My celeb spottings: Tracey Chang (Miss New York USA 2009), Teyana Taylor, Tweetie (MTV), Tha Heights, Miguel Perdomo, Dawn Richard of Danity Kane, Dhara “Like Dat” Boyd (Flavor of Love), Jessica “Rabbit” Rich (Real Chance of Love), Bryan Taylor (Fab Man of the Week)
Shout out:
