All week we’ve been hearing about Lil Kim’s rants about the Notorious B.I.G. movie and how she doesn’t support it at all. Most people, including mother of Christopher Wallace and widower, Faith Evans, are very dissapointed in Lil Kim’s behavior. Faith Evans had this to say:
I got four kids, and I definitely don’t have time for this type of sh–,” she noted. “It’s just sad. I don’t know Kim’s story like that. The part of my life that she was a part of, that what was in my book. This movie is not relative to my book other than that there are certain things in there. This is not my movie. I didn’t write the script. Any characters in the film had to agree for their life rights to be in the movie. I don’t think I would have signed anything had I felt I was not portrayed properly. I think she had the opportunity to do that. I could be mistaken. I wasn’t there.
At the end of the day. Lil Kim needs to be beefing with herself because she had the chance to write her own story. But never completed her book.
I agree w/ Majesty, that is so true. She had that chance and she decided to take the advance money and not follow through with writing the book. Like Faith said everybody that was being portrayed in the movie had to sign some type of paper work for them to have the go ahead to be imitated. She had to sign, so therefore she should have made sure she was portrayed how she wanted to be. But it isnt like we dont know the story, there is just bits and pieces we dont know. We all know Kim was Biggie’s jump off
Well I don’t know what all the Kim bashing is about, of course you had to sign something but the shit aint turn out the wat she wanted it to or the way they made her believe it was going to turn out.Basically they tried to play Kim as some little hood rat from the streets.If you really knew their story then you all would know that Kim was his girl first, Faith was second.Quite frankly who cares about Faith, it took her almost a decade to express herself. If Kim don’t like then its her choice. I’m sure you all have been told something was going to happen one way and it went the other.Guess what”You got upset” didn’t you!

Wasn’t Kim originally a hood rat from the streets? That’s what she basically says in her rhymes. I’m trying to figure out why they left Charlie Baltimore out of the movie, because she was definitely a big part of BIG’s life as well. According to Faith’s book, BIG and Charlie Baltimore even lived together for quite some time while he and Faith were married.
I was wondering the same thing about Charlie Baltimore. I guess she didn’t want to be a part of the movie. Who knows? Not sure how Lil Kim’s schedule was at the time but was she able to go to the set while they were filming? She could’ve spoken up at the time. The director had a blog with updates she could’ve reached out to him. I’m sure there were plenty of options. By the way, I love Angela Bassett but I wonder why they didn’t have her use a Jamaican accent…or get a Jamaican actress to portray Voletta. I know Voletta ok’d it but I’m just curious to know why an accent was not used.
It is sad that there is still drama going on between these two, however, even if there wasn’t a whole helluva lot this movie was bound to stir up some ish with a whole lotta folks anyway. We’ll never know the real deal with rights, approvals and what have yous anyway. I read somewhere that Kim wanted an asian chick to portray her. So who knows…but as Maje$ty pointed out Kim has a voice of her own.
I read a comment someone posted on another site and I agree with him. Think about it..Lil Kim has had all of this plastic surgery done to look more European. Her circle of friends is not the same. She tries to hang with Donatella Versace now. This movie probably brought back a lot of memories and she’s embarassed by her past.
