The first show I got to attend was the Tony Cohen runway show. The fashion world is so different from other industries. If you aren’t dressed you will get looked at sideways. You will see some crazy sites in these tents, from Men in heels to women wearing basically nothing.
The Tony Cohen show was alright overall. His designs weren’t that eye catching to me. He had a few pieces that stood out, but it just seem like everything has been done before. But his shoes on the other hand were giving me everything. Cohen’s shoe designs were on point. Here is some footage from the show..
The next show I attended was the William Rast runway show. Justin Timberlake is one of the creative directors for William Rast, so that made me even more geeked about being there. A lot of celebs came out to see what the line was bringing this season. Anna Wintour, Jessica Biel, Aubrey O’day, Nina Garcia, Anthoney Anderson, and Damien Fahey were all in the front row for the show. Fab Men Chavis Aaron & Bryan Taylor were also in the building…
The show was not that great in my opinion. Most of the stuff look like it could have be done in someone’s basement. Too many jewels for my liking. The bedazzler came in handy while putting this collection together. All the clothes were extremely Midwestern influenced. The clothes would be great for an old Clint Eastwood film. Here is some footage from the show..
Overall being at Fashion Week in NYC was pretty enjoyable. I got to be around all new people, and hit it off with a good number of fashion folks. I would recommend everyone try to go to a fashion show, its a good experience.
Shout to Fab Man Chavis Aaron for the Invite!

It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
