This past Saturday, we hit up the taping of BET’s Rip the Runway at Hammerstein Ballroom.  Model/actress, Joy Bryant and actor, Derek Luke, hosted the event, and celebrity models included Tocarra (who came out and stole the show EVERY time), Black Buddahfly, and several noticeable faces from America’s Next Top Model. I was actually looking forward to the show this year, because there were several good artists there who performed some of their biggest hits:  T.I. and Young Dro performed “Ain’t I“, Mavado performed “So Special“, Keri Hilson performed “Turnin’ Me On“, The Dream brought Fabolous out to perform “Rockin’ That Thang“, Ron Browz and Busta performed “Arab Money” and Bobby V performed “Beep, Beep“.  In not so fab performances, the GS Boyz came out and did their hit, “Stanky Leg“. I’m a fan of Rip the Runway, and had a great time,because I love seeing models walk to some of the hottest songs out right now.  However, I’m not really a fan of models jumping all around and doing the “Arab Money” dance and the “Stanky Leg” while walking down the runway.  It really distracted from the clothes, which is the main point of having a fashion show. It was just too much.

Sorry Chavis, I had to put you out there. His “Stanky Leg” was off the chain, y’all.

While we were there, there were several notable faces that we spotted backstage, and in the audience. We caught up with some of the past Fab Men, Lamar James, Miguel Perdomo, and Chavis Aaron, who were also walking in the show.

Laurie Ann Gibson and Michael Bivins were spotted in the audience. (Laurie Ann looks interesting, as usual)

AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur and Dawn Richard (Danity Kane)

And of course, we were there wilin’ out in the audience as well. Haha!

Keri Hilson rocked the crowd in an interesting outfit.  The verdict is still out on this, but Keri…It looks good on youuuuuu.
