Last night, we hit up the launch party for Rocawear’s new online community, Roc4Life.com and had a blast! It was definitely one of the best events that I’ve attended in a long time, and everything seemed to go off without a hitch. After the Keri Hilson fiasco, I was glad that we were able to enjoy ourselves at this event, and that there were no door issues. Because I took advantage of the open bar, compliments of Grey Goose vodka, there may be a few details that I may forget, but I’m going to try to re-cap everything as best as I can.
Keep in mind, that if an event has an open bar, most likely you are going to have happy party-goers. This doesn’t ring true EVERY single time, but at this party, that was definitely the case, especially since I was able to sip on free Cosmopolitans all night without paying a dime. There was also a complimentary photo booth, props included, provided by Polite in Public, which we all took full advantage of (as you can see above. I have about 6 more of those pics on my Facebook)

The atmosphere, good music provided by the DJ, and the fact that it was a great crowd of people that included some of our friends, made for really good times. Not to mention that the gift bags included cute drink mixers, nail polish, Carol’s Daughter products and Kid Robot toys! What’s a great event without a great gift bag? You have to leave your guests with a good impression, and that definitely did it.
Check out some more pics below.

Giant Mag EIC, Emil Wilbekin and fab stylist, June Ambrose seemed to be having good times. June was also twittering the whole event as well and calling out fashion faux pas.

Vibe EIC, Danyel Smith and Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson were in the building.

Here are the ladies that made it all happen, Monee Perry and Aleesha Smalls of Rocawear digital. Derrin Woodhouse, Director of BET Integrated Marketing is also pictured.

Terrence J was in the building getting it in.

And what’s an event without the cast of BET’s “Harlem Heights“? They seem to be everywhere these days. Here pictured is Briana and Pierre.
Jay-Z wasn’t in attendance, but it didn’t seem to matter. We still got it in! Shout out to all of our fellow bloggers that we saw in the building as well, Lexie, Blogxilla, Low Key, NY Fab, The Fly Girl, Gangstarr Girl, and the Fly Guys.
When you have a minute, check out Roc4Life.com and see what all the fuss is about! I, (Aura), am a contributor for the site, so hit me up on my profile HERE

Looks like it was a fun event.
I saw the Polite In Public photo booth pics on someone else’s site and I swear the combination of the backdrop, drinks, and weird props reminds me of Times Square on New Year’s Eve lol.
Those props made my night. I definitely ODed on the pictures
This was definitely a night to remember… They showed how industry parties are suppose to be done.
