With Vernon Davis (former tight end player for the San Franciso 49ers) preparing for a long & exciting night of hosting an exclusive NFL Draft Party in NYC tonight, he found a couple minutes to sit with ALLTHATSFAB.com and let us know a little more about himself, how he feels about his brother possibly getting drafted into the NFL, and even lets us know what the most scandalous thing a groupie did to get his attention:
ATF: Has life made a dramatic change since you were drafted in 2006?
Vernon Davis: Life has definitely changed dramatically! I have a lot of more money than I did before, so I can do things I never imagined. Plus there are a lot of people coming at me for the wrong reasons, and a lot of people depending on me. Let’s just say now I understand “more money, more problems”, but I wouldn’t wanna give it up.
ATF: You’ll be hosting this years Draft Picks event and this one is really special to you because your younger brother is one of the top picks. What is it like witnessing the start of his NFL journey and what is the best advice you think you’ve given him about the pro football industry?
VD: It’s amazing to watch him take this step. As his older brother it’s really hard for me to find words to describe how it feels. I’m very proud of him. I’ve told him so many things, but I think one important thing I’ve told him is that this is a business. There are a lot of perks, but he has to remember the job he came to do and not to let anything take away from his focus. I’ve also stressed that he’ll have a lot to lose, so he needs to be careful who he keeps around him.
ATF: So tell our readers what other talents do you have besides playing football?
VD: I’m a studio artist (painter), and I’ve got an eye for interior design and fashion.
ATF: What words do most people use to describe you? How would you describe yourself?
VD: I think most people would say I’m light hearted, giving and charismatic because I treat people the way I’d want them to treat me (sometimes even better), and I love making people smile. I’d describe myself as a perfectionist and a good person. I’m not satisfied with anything I do unless I feel it’s perfect.
ATF: What is the most important thing you’ve learned about love? Are you currently in a relationship, if not, are you looking?
VD: I’ve learned that there’s a difference between loving and being in love. Sometimes you can love a person but know you don’t belong with them. I’m single right now. I wouldn’t say I’m actively looking for a relationship at the moment.
ATF: How do you handle the difficulty of separating the gold diggers from the genuine females? Were there times when you’ve chosen the wrong one? It’s usually pretty easy to separate one from the other now. At first, it used to take me a little longer to see it, but then I’d stop talking to the golddiggers or giving them attention. I definitely chose the wrong one a few times! You’d be surprised.

VD: What is the craziest thing a groupie has done to get your attention? One time I was at a party, and this girl walked around for a little while with her nipple sticking out of her shirt. The shirt was cut really low, so it almost looked like she didn’t mean it. But then she kept giving me “the eye”. It got her plenty of attention from people, but I didn’t think it was all that hot.
ATF: What would a first date with you consist of?
VD: That actually depends on the girl and the types of things she’s interested and also how I’m feeling at the time.
ATF: Are there any dreams or goals you have yet to accomplish? I definitely want to make it to the playoffs, win a Super Bowl and make it to the Pro Bowl.
ATF: -What is your biggest pet peeve?:
VD: I HATE when someone promises me something and they never follow through.
The fastest way to lose Vernon: “telling a boring story”
The quickest way to win his heart: “buying me underclothes”
One of his hidden talents: “painting and playing basketball”
Favorite places to go/Favorite things to do/ in NYC: “Eat at Mr. Chow and shop.”

He’s a great athete. Thanks for the interview.
The quickest way to win his heart: “buying me underclothes”
