No matter how terrible people knew ‘Obsessed‘ was going to be… no matter how much they clowned Beyonce and threw food at the television screen whenever the trailer came on…they still went out to see it, making it the NUMBER ONE movie in America. Who’s to say folks won’t travel from far and wide to see Ashanti? The pressure is rising with each passing day.
“I think it’s definitely going to be pressure, but in a good way. Broadway is so prestigious, and just getting that experience and getting to work with more seasoned actors is exciting,” she said. “Broadway, it’s a horse of a different color.”

People were charged at the most 12.50 to see Obsessed. I don’t think anyone will be paying 50+ to see Ashanti in this. I’m sorry.
You can’t compare Ashanti to Beyonce. That’s blasphemy!
Ashanti is a “so so” singer, and a mediocre dancer, so I’m still trying to figure out how she got this part. Only time will tell.
I don’t think there’s any comparison between her and Diana Ross either. >.<
Okay…I feel better…I didnt want to be the only one to think that this just makes no sense. My feelings are almost a little hurt. I LOVE Diana/Supremes and I have the movie and the dern soundtrack so for ASHANTI out of all people to be asked to play this role…I would’ve even choice Bey over her. But you know what (since you brought up obsessed), Bey did make me eat my words; she shocked me in this role.
