Ever since Cassie cut her hair and debut the look on Twitter, the blogs, fans & her peers alike went crazy! Some people loved it and thought she was brave for going all out like that, while some people thought it was tacky, a cry for attention & a strategy to garner more publicity. Whatever they thought, it kept people talking! Even LaLa decided to hop on the bandwagon and “do the Cassie”

To carry off a half shaved head, you have to 1. be bold & brave, 2. not give a f*#% about what any one has to say, and 3. have lots and lots of swag! If you have all 3, or at least 2 out of the 3– I say go for it! It’s a dope, bold look that is sure to make a statement. So let go of that fear of freshness & get with it!

The high hair is NOT one of my favorite’s, but hey. When I first saw this style on Rihanna, I tagged it as “a permed high top fade”. The high style exaggerates the shaved sides, offering an extreme contrast that only Little Miss Sunshine could pull off. While I didn’t like it first, as usual, it grew on me, and I would recommend this style for summer. But proceed with caution, this style is not for the swagless. My favorite look of them all! Keri Hilson has one of the best hair games in the game, but it seems nobody notices. Her look in 944 magazine is one of the best options for summer time! Halle Berry has done it all. Short, long, dark, light, she’s never afraid to go there. She is one of the few people that understands: hair is hair, and it will grow back! For this season, Halle has went with the Pixie cut. This look is very classy, sophisticated, grown & sexy. It’s not edgy, it’s not fierce, it’s not funky– it’s simple & chic. I recommend this look for the blue collar worker, a mother, a wife(?). This look is made for the on-the-go woman. It’s simple, easy to maintain and doesn’t require much prep & styling. PERFECT. So, as Hurricane Chris said, do the Halle Berry [Halle Berry]…

And how could I forget? The baddest, bald Blondie to come out of Philly since Eve, Amber Rose, made baldies hot again. I’m not saying she was the first to do it (remember Britney Spears back in ‘07?), but she definitely brought it BACK! And to finish off this post, with the four hottest, most talked about, and most fabulous short styles for the summer, I had to end it with this. The baldy is the sickest, scariest, dopest, way to go. Try at your own risk.

So here you are looking at these styles and admiring, thinking about taking it off. But, there’s one thing. You’re scared! I say suck it up. It’s hair, it will grow back. The biggest misconception about going short, is that there isn’t much to do with it. LIES! Short hair offers just as much options as long, if not more. The only thing that you can do with long hair that you can’t do with short, is put it in a ponytail. You can perm it, curl it, babe, watch it, turn it, leave it, stop, format it. So, it can grow back (faster than ever!), you can switch up styles, and it’s perfect for the season. Now, what excuse do you have left? TAKE IT OFF! I did, and I LOVE it!
