MTV News posted a nice dedication piece to Aaliyah this morning, showing an interview in which she says how she would have liked to be remembered. It seems as though it was only yesterday when she was making hits and we were all practicing the dance steps from her music videos in our mirrors.
She touched so many lives, and there are so many current artists who are still highly influenced by her.

Baby Girl, you are truly missed.
Yeah, I still can’t believe she is gone. She was so talented and young.
I remember going to Cipriani for the memorial they have for her. Also remember that people were angry about it too..mainly older white people that didn’t know who she was. Whatever we didn’t care the lines were long and we stayed there.
She was beautiful with a silky voice and I’m proud to say I have all of her albums
