There were a lot of good shows at Governers Island this summer, from Janelle Monae, to Erykah Badu, and the most recent performance by Mos Def with Jay Electronica this past Saturday.
If you follow Jay Electronica on Twitter you should know that he’s a little…. unique. That’s why we weren’t too shocked when we heard what he announced before bringing Mos Def to the stage:
“I don’t care who you think is dope – Cudi, Drake, whoever – I eat their asses alive. Except Mos.”
