By now, many of you may have heard about Alicia Keys’ new highly publicized relationship with super producer, Swizz Beatz, who is STILL married to his wife, Mashonda. Well, Friday night, Mashonda finally confronted A. Keys, (via Twitter, no less), because she felt she was being insensitive to her situation. In a public letter to Keys, she writes:
I was a fan of AK’s last album, we were both signed to J Records and I always checked up on her projects. I sang her songs and admired her for creating Superwoman and Karma, I would never deny her, her talent. I believed in her until I found out she was possibly sleeping with my husband. The affair was denied by both, until it was finally admitted months later…
My concern with AK is no longer the fact that she assisted in destroying a family but that she has the audacity to make these selfish comments about love and wanting to be with someone, even after knowing their situation. How is this the same Superwoman that I sang out loud with in my truck? I ask myself sometimes.

Oh wow, so whose going to let go first. I guess the wife is okay with this arrangement if she hadn’t left yet. Or she could possible be hanging around for other reason’s who knows…Sounds like an uncomfortable situation to be in if you ask me. (probably ifyou asked anyone) LOL

Mashonda is hurting and I know she’s trying to get answers, but really, Alicia Keys doesn’t owe her anything. However, Alicia is in the wrong for not practicing what she preaches.

they r legally seperated but no one knew of the affair until mashonda said something about it! she is a woman scorned she stopped her career to be a mother and a wife! and regardless of their marital problems swizzy should have handled himself better than this! she shouldn’t be picking fights with AK but she i’m pretty sure swizz hears it all the time and i think what makes her so mad is that AK is still seen as america’s sweet heart even though she is pulling a kim kozaick
I must say…I said the same thing about AK when I heard the news about her affair w/ Swizzy. She speaks and preaches woman enpowerment but yet disrespects another sisters marriage and acts as if I doesnt matter what she has done REGARDLESS of what Swizzy may have told her. According to Mashonda she has tried NUMEROUS times to speak w/ AK but she wont respond. We woman have a code of our own and Ms. Keyz knows better than MOST that what she did and IS DOING is disrespectful and a little wrong. Atleast the the family TRY to get things together…
Yo what’s crazy is AK is one of my all-time favorite artists. I won’t judge her actions based on her actions. Shit, for all I know she’ll probably create a bangin ass album from this. But I guess more or less our respect for her as faded. I mean you can’t help who you are attracted to..(but Swizz Beatz?) chill. But she could’ve gone about the situation differently, damn I should’ve taught her better. She still bad as hell though even in “Secret Life of Bees” lol.
Call these hoes out Mashonda. HAHA JK. Eventhough I heart Alicia Keys, and Mashonda sounds like a woman scorned. She is right. Even though everyone says Alicia Keys owes MaShonda nothing, I disagree. First off, Alicia Keys began a relationship with a man that she knew was married. If thats not trifling to the 3rd degree, I dont know what is. These type of women need to be called out!! If they would keep there legs closed to MARRIED men then I feel our divorce rates will be less.
Im not solely blaming the other women, of course the husband is the one that took the vows and made a promise to GOD. However, we as women know that women are mens weakness. To go after a married man or accept his sexual advances is down right dirty. I bet if Alicia Keys and other women (I’m pretty sure Swizz cheated with) had closed their legs to a MARRIED man. MaShonda and Swizz will still be together now.
People saying that you cant break what already broken. Yayy I agree. But you can sway that persons decision on if theyre willing to work it out. Come on, we should all admit that new pussy makes that decision so much harder.
I heart A Keys, I think Swizz is a great producer. But their personal choices were shady. What was the rush, could they not have waited until the ink dried on the divorce papers. If you genuinely care about a person, then you would wait until things we done and settled with 1 chapter b4 moving on to the next…

I put most of the blame on Swizz Beatz. It does take two to tango but Swizz Beatz is the one that’s married. He should’ve been the one to stop it. Men can control it too. People are always quick to make excuses for men. Enought already..it’s bullsh*t. The majority of people know right from wrong. Why is Swizz or any man the exception to the rule. I’m sick of hearing it. Women are always quick to blame the other woman. Check your man first.
