Jennifer Lopez is not leaving music alone just yet.  The mother of two is set perform and debut her new single “Louboutins” on the American Music Awards this year, and this will be the first official single off her sixth studio album, entitled “Love?“.  (Jennifer hasn’t had a solo studio album since 2007.)

Here is what J.Lo had to say about the Tricky Stewart & The Dream penned track.

“This song is actually about when you’ve made the decision—I’m out. It’s not the girl who’s like, ‘I’m gonna take my stuff, and I’m gonna put on my sweatpants, and I’m gonna cry, and my girlfriends are gonna pick me up and we’re gonna go eat ice cream.’ It’s not that girl. This girl is like putting on her hottest dress and her sexiest Louboutin shoes, and leaving your ass.”

“I’ve had to do it. Sometimes you just gotta do it! You gotta put on your Louboutins and be like, ‘This is what you’re missing. Bye bye.’”

J. Lo speaks on the concept of the album below, plus some interesting commentary from Brandy about J. Lo’s song below. ( “Louboutins” was originally written for Brandy.)

Jennifer explained the concept of the album by saying,

“It’s basically about when you get to that point in a bad relationship and you’re like, ‘Damn, I really have to leave. It’s just not good for me’”.

As we mentioned before, the real juice about all of this is that the song was originally given to Brandy before she was dropped from Epic Records, the same label J.Lo is still currently on. Brandy is a twitter head so this is what she had to say about the subject.

“It is true I had a song called ‘Louboutins’ that I loved and still love to pieces, but God never blesses you with another person’s blessing.”

Brandy needs to move on with her career, or the lack of one, but we are excited to see what Jennifer Lopez is bringing this time around.  The whole concept of this album and single is pretty lame coming from J.Lo considering she is married with two children, but she damn sure does know how to leave  men.
