Tyra Banks is following Oprah’s lead once again, and is calling it quits from her hit talk show. The current season, ending in Spring 2010, will be the last season of The Tyra Show.
According to People,
Banks will focus on the launch of Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company currently reviewing possible projects. Sticking to her mission, Banks aims to bring “positive images of women to the big screen,” says an industry insider.
“My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are,” Banks says.
Apparently, with the help of her mentors, Oprah and Tyler Perry, she gained the confidence to pursue yet another dream, “redifining the beauty of Black women in FILM”.
If you’re wondering if Top Model will still be around, don’t worry…Tyra is gearing up for the 15th season, set to premiere in February, as we speak.
Why doesnt she call Top Model quits? No one I know watches that show anymore…

…i’m surprised that she is quitting while she can. The show has won her two Emmys.

Well, you can only come up with SO MUCH material about YOURSELF durring shows identifying key problems involving OTHERS. Everyone knows Tyra’s talented and beautiful, but from viewing her shows- her ‘way’ of calling people out for inuendo she objects to, and calling it a show topic seemed to me to be judgemental. To be a good “listener” in any case, you must put yourself more on the other side of the judge’s table at every angle of the subjectmatter possible, before “casting stones” if you will. Though i respect a good chunk of what Ms.T has done for much of her viewers and pannelists, i feel that she would probably do better in something she’s better at from an outsiders stand point. . .and that’s fassion.
