The 90’s hit maker and TV Star, hasn’t released a album in the past couple years after the flop of her album “Human“.

You can’t deny that the girl can sing. In the video you see Brandy tackling Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come”, which is not easy at all. She did a pretty good job at some points. Make sure you check out her rap alter-ego Bran’Nu on Timbaland’s Shock Value II.

Here is what J.Lo had to say about the Tricky Stewart & The Dream penned track.

“This song is actually about when you’ve made the decision—I’m out. It’s not the girl who’s like, ‘I’m gonna take my stuff, and I’m gonna put on my sweatpants, and I’m gonna cry, and my girlfriends are gonna pick me up and we’re gonna go eat ice cream.’ It’s not that girl. This girl is like putting on her hottest dress and her sexiest Louboutin shoes, and leaving your ass.”

“I’ve had to do it. Sometimes you just gotta do it! You gotta put on your Louboutins and be like, ‘This is what you’re missing. Bye bye.’”

J. Lo speaks on the concept of the album below, plus some interesting commentary from Brandy about J. Lo’s song below. ( “Louboutins” was originally written for Brandy.)

Jennifer explained the concept of the album by saying,

“It’s basically about when you get to that point in a bad relationship and you’re like, ‘Damn, I really have to leave. It’s just not good for me’”.

As we mentioned before, the real juice about all of this is that the song was originally given to Brandy before she was dropped from Epic Records, the same label J.Lo is still currently on. Brandy is a twitter head so this is what she had to say about the subject.

“It is true I had a song called ‘Louboutins’ that I loved and still love to pieces, but God never blesses you with another person’s blessing.”

Brandy needs to move on with her career, or the lack of one, but we are excited to see what Jennifer Lopez is bringing this time around.  The whole concept of this album and single is pretty lame coming from J.Lo considering she is married with two children, but she damn sure does know how to leave  men.

Brandy girl, please tell us you’re playing. Reassure us that this isn’t documented interest in pursuing a rap career and you’re working on an album that would put the wonderousness that is “Full Moon” to shame. Are we the only ones who wish Moesha was still on the air? The only ones who feel like Brandy should be doing some more ethnic fairy tale remakes [Cinderella]? She’s just playing. Wow this is music to our ears, Vh1’s Divas is back! If you don’t remember Divas, it’s when all the women of the past, present, and future salute one another. This was always a must-see, you never knew what women were gonna take the stage. It’s such a dope sight to strong talented females being honored for their achievements. But the question is who will take the stage this year? We thought they were done because they ran out of divas. VH1 can’t even answer the question, so they are asking the fan to decide.
