Twitter Users Criticize MAGA Swimsuit Line

Are you ready for the summer? Have you gotten your swimsuit? Your beach towels? A hat to give you some shade? If not, you can apparently pick up some MAGA-themed pool gear, as long as you don't mind being mocked by most of Twitter.

There is no doubt about it-- if you were to walk onto a public beach, or show up at a community pool, wearing a spiffy blue one piece that touts the slogan 'Make America Great Again', you would surely make a splash. There's a good chance, however, that splash will be from someone picking you up and throwing you into the water.

The swim gear is available at shop.donaldjtrump.com, and the proceeds go to Trump's re-election campaign. You can grab yourself a one-piece blue batthing suit or swim trunks that say 'Make America Great Again' for $55. You can pick up a blue MAGA sunglasses holder to wear around your neck, and now, or you can get a stylish MAGA drink holder. MAGA hats are now available in both red and white.

If you've got $65 to blow, youo can spend it on a Ttrump-Pence beach towel. No, that is not a joke.

Trump's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump, recently shared a photo on Instagram while wearing the swimsult. She links to the sale from her bio.

"Make a YUGE splash poolside or at the beach this summer with our new swimwear!" the website reads.

The swimsuit labels claim they were 'made in the USA'.

Trump haters on Twitter were having more of a ball with the release of the swimwear line than Trump supporters. One after another Tweet poured in mocking the summer gear, and the president.

"Spend the summer having refreshing drinks thrown at you wherever you go," wrote one person.

"Every dollar you spend will save a lawyer in need. Please, donate now," wrote another.

“Does this swimsuit make me look racist?!” one asked.

"Now you can proudly display your racism when you're at the beach, too," one person commented.

"Surprised the women's suit shows off that much skin. Pence won't be pleased," wrote one person.

Another person added, "I noticed the fine print states that the female suits come a Pence autographed Chasity belt."

Other people suffered a bit of sticker shock at the prices. "55 dollars for shorts. Seriously?"

“You obviously don't know your target market here. For MAGAs to buy these, they need to be $4.99 or less, and also come with a beach cover up like the one shown below,” another person added, including a photo of set of KKK white robes as the ‘cover up’.

Others joked that for Trump supporters, there need to be bigger sizes.

For some, though, the idea of the MAGA swimsuits was actually pretty clever. “Now we kno who to ignore when drowning,” the person remarked.

Considering the divide in the country, it’s hard to imagine who seriously might wear one of these swimsuits out in public. It would be begging for an argument, or to come back to the parking lot to find your tires slashed. Instead of the ‘Made in the USA’ label, the swimwear line should include its own warning label: ‘Wear at your own risk’.
