Celebrity Mom Shares Tear-Jerking Meeting With Fellow Mom And Fan In Grocery Story

It has got to be hard to be a celebrity. You never know when someone is going to come up to you to interrupt your day or distract you from the things you need to do. But it's not all bad; sometimes a fan comes up and makes a famous person's day with a single comment.

One celebrity mom shared an experience with a fan that she says left her with tears in her eyes. Pink ran into a woman in a grocery store and Tweeted about the experience on Thursday. This fan had a compliment for the 38-year-old singer that really hit home.

The fan was more interested in talking about the singing star's parenting than her music career.

“A really sweet Mama came up 2me tonight at the grocery store and told me some nice words about how she gets strength from my parenting cause I’m not afraid to fuck up in public,” wrote Pink.

"We cried together. It’s so hard. Y’all. I wish us mamas could give ourselves and each other a break.”

That sweet moment is a great reminder of how important it is to be real and to share our struggles, and to lend support to those who do. One thing Pink has been amazing about since becoming a mother is that she's completely candid in sharing just how hard a job it really is.

Pink gave birth to her daughter Willow in 2011, and to her son Jameson in 2016. Since then, the singer has shared all the ups and downs of being a mom, and has not pulled back on the struggles.

She's confessed to getting her own child's age wrong, and to looking forward to that much-needed glass of wine after pumping her breast milk. She's even been open about how parenting has affected her and her husband's sex life, admitting that she and racer Carey Hart have gone long stretches of time without sex.

The story about the fan in the grocery store resonated with a lot of Pink's fans online. One Twitter user responded, "I’m with you Pink. Was a single mama and needed help."

"Now I go outta my way to help ... when appropriate. Love to see the momentary look of relief when a mom knows someone else has been there and still cares. #hardestjobintheworld.”

Another shared a memory that she had of finding a moment of comradery with another mom.

"One night 12 years ago I was at a casual fast food restaurant (@BajaFresh) and my youngest was throwing food, my older ones bickering and my husband embarrassed. An older beautiful woman, 75 or 80 yr old woman came up to me, held my hand and said, 'Don't expect perfection, your little one is exploring, learning, and growing. Even Jesus threw food, and was a baby.'

She kissed my cheek. That moment has impacted me so deeply. I always stop to encourage mothers with young children. It's so important as women that we show [love]."

It's hard enough being a parent without getting the impression that you have to be perfect or you’ll be an embarrassment, or ruin your kids’ lives. Sometimes the best support parents can lend each other is to admit that we all make mistakes, because that is a reminder that we can overcome mistakes.
