Drake And Antonio Brown Treat Hotel Maid To Pampering, Shopping Spree

A maid in a Miami hotel went about her daily business, cleaning rooms and working hard for the money. Little did she know, she'd caught the attention of a VIP.

The next day she was treated to a massage, a lavish dinner, and a shopping spree at Saks Fifth Avenue. The whole day was organized by Drake and Antonio Brown.

Grammy-award winning artist Drake and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown did their good deed for the day when they surprised a Miami hotel maid with a dream day out. Drake read about the woman in the Miami Herald and was touched by her story.

Odelie Paret, a 63-year-old woman from Haiti, earns a modest wage as a hotel maid. She commutes nearly four hours per day to make money to support her five children, as well as her grandson, who lives in her home. Drake employed the help of his friend, Brown, to give the woman a lovely surprise.

A mystery woman approached the hotel where Paret worked and arranged for her to have a massage at their spa, and then treated her to a lobster dinner at the hotel's steakhouse. No one knew who was behind the generous gift, including Paret.

While the grandmother was happy to oblige the donor, she couldn’t help but be curious about who had treated her to the luxurious day out.

After dinner, a car came to pick up Paret and drove her to a nearby shopping mall. The closed mall was empty. Ms. Paret was escorted inside, where she was met by her benefactors: Drake and Brown.

A fan of Drake, she immediately recognized him, and was stunned to find out that there was more in store for her. The two men led her to Saks Fifth Avenue for a shopping spree that lasted about 45 minutes.

They encouraged her to buy anything she wanted.

Initially, Ms. Paret had tried on some clothes, but nothing at the trendy shop seemed to fit the grandmother properly. Instead, she was encouraged to select some luxury items: an $800 pair of comfortable shoes, a $2,000 handbag by Valentino, bottles of perfume, and an $10,000 18-karat white gold necklace with diamonds.

"It made me happy... I thank him so much," said Paret.

Drake posted a video on Instagram, captioning it, "We took the ladies out for a nice little shopping spree tonight. We're giving back."

Drake has been 'giving back' a lot this week. On February 5, he gave a student in South Carolina a $50,000 check to use for her tuition at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music.

While in Miami, he also donated $25,000 to Miami High School and donated some uniforms designed by his fasion label, OVO. On February 6, we went to the Sabor Tropical Supermarket in Miami and surprised shoppers by picking up their grocery bills — the total at the checkout stand was over $50,000.

That same day, he presented the Lotus House Shelter with a $50,000 check and passed out $150 Target gift cars to the homeless women staying there. He also distributed toys and games to their children.
