Leah Remini Reveals Tom Cruise Wanting To Play Odd Games At His Home

Leah Remini, a 47-year-old actress who starred opposite Kevin James on the hit CBS series ‘King of Queens’, has been in the spotlight for some time for her open opposition to the Church of Scientology.

A former member, Remini left the church and began to divulge its bizarre practices in an attempt to expose the secretive organization.

Now, Remini has accused Jada Pinkett Smith, another acclaimed actor and wife to Will Smith, of being a dedicated member of the Church of Scientology. During an interview with ‘The Daily Beast’, Ms. Remini claimed that Mrs. Smith, who denies any involvement with the Church of Scientology, has supported the controversial organization for years.

During the interview, Ms. Remini – who used to be a member of the Church of Scientology – maintained that Mrs. Smith was deeply involved in Scientology. “I know Jada's in. I know Jada's in. She's been in Scientology a long time, I never saw Will [Smith] there, but I saw Jada at [Scientology's Hollywood] Celebrity Centre,” she said.

“They opened up a Scientology school, and have since closed it. But Jada, I had seen her at the Scientology Celebrity Centre all the time.”

Since early childhood, Ms. Remini was indoctrinated in the bizarre belief system of the Church of Scientology. However, in 2013, Ms. Remini had an epiphany about the organization and became one of its most vocal critics.

The King of Queens star detailed her exploits and cathartic realization in ‘Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology,' her book on life inside the Church of Scientology and the consequences of her departure.

In her book, Ms. Remini discusses the stranger aspects of Scientology as well as describing the personalities of some of its most high-profile members. One of the oddest sections in Ms. Remini’s book is set in Tom Cruise’s 7,000-square-foot house and involves herself, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Smith and Cruise.

According to Ms. Remini, Cruise was trying to convince his guests to play hide-and-seek in his house and 3-acre property. “At first I thought he was joking,” wrote Ms. Remini.

“But, no, he literally wanted to play hide-and-seek with a bunch of grown-ups in what was probably close to a 7,000-square-foot house on almost three full acres of secluded land.” When Ms. Remini declined to play, Cruise ignored her and tapped her, saying: “Well, good. So you're 'It,' then.”

Mrs. Smith recently acknowledged the incident while she was on the promotion tour for her new film ‘Girls’ Trip’.

However, Mrs. Smith’s statement didn’t ring true for Ms. Remini, who told ‘The Daily Beast’: “She was on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live a few weeks ago promoting her film, and Andy [Cohen] said to her, 'Have you read Leah Remini's book?' And he was like, 'What was that whole thing about playing tag?' and she said, 'Oh, she lied.'

He goes, 'Isn't that weird, to play tag?' and she goes, 'No, the kids were there.' That was untrue. Bulls**t. There were no kids there. I was like, okay, alright, you're gonna do that? More power to ya.”

Ms. Remini believes that Mrs. Smith’s alleged lies are evidence that she is still involved with the Church of Scientology, telling interviewers: “[I] had hoped that she had left [Scientology], but this was the tell-tale sign that she was still in.”
