Leah Remini left the Church of Scientology back in 2013, but it sounds like she’s got a few things to get off her chest about its inner workings. According to Yahoo, she hopes to shed some new light on the church with the upcoming docuseries entitled ‘Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.’
The 46-year-old star was a member of the church since childhood, and she hopes to give an even louder voice to others that have made the same decision to leave.
"For too long, this multi-billion-dollar organization bullied victims and journalists to prevent the truth being told. It is my hope that we shed light on information that makes the world aware of what is really going on and encourages others to speak up," a statement from Remini read in part.
Remini already had a pretty good handle on how things worked at the church, but she had even her own eyes opened by some of the revelations she helped uncover in the new series.
"Even though I had been a member of the church for a long time, I was stunned by some of the things I learned. There is a lot more to this story than anyone knows. And this series is breaking ground in bringing that information to light," Remini said.
