Doctors All Stop To Bow To An 11-Year-Old Boy For One Incredible Reason

Cancer takes a terrible human toll, but one selfless Chinese boy turned a tragedy into something positive.

11-year-old Liang Yaoyi’s strong desire to give life to others showed the strength of his spirit and his determination to be a good person.

Before the doctors undertook the organ transplants, they bowed deeply to the body of Liang, an outstanding student from Shenzhen, China, following his death from a brain tumor last year.

Young Liang was diagnosed with cancer almost two years prior, shortly after he moved to Shenzhen to join his brother and sister and attend primary school, based on local Chinese media sources.

Liang began to feel dizzy and even had difficulty walking, so he went to a hospital where he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

When the doctors told him his cancer was terminal, Liang told his mother of his strong desire to donate his organs.

“There are many people doing great things in the world,” he explained earnestly. “They are great, and I want to be a great kid too.”

Liang also commented that donating his organs was a chance for him to be “alive in another way.”

Other sources report that Liang learned about organ donation from reading a school textbook, and was inspired to help others. His mother honored her son’s wishes and his kidneys and liver were donated to save the lives of others.
