Doctors Begin Testing Woman For Cancer - Make Shocking Find

A woman started showing some concerning symptoms, and she prepared for the worst as doctors began investigating. Little did she know, she was in for a huge, wonderful surprise.

Tess Morten, a 47-year-old woman from Reading, Berkshire, has been hailed as a miracle mother after she gave birth more than 7 years after her body went through menopause.

When Mrs. Morten visited the doctor to complain about tiredness, strange cramps, bloating and occasional vomiting, medical professionals never through that the middle-aged woman might be pregnant. In fact, Mrs. Morten’s doctors actually feared that her baby was a sign of ovarian cancer.

Unbeknownst to doctors, Mrs. Morten was actually three-and-a-half months pregnant. Several months prior to this discovery, Mrs. Morten had begun using hormone replacement therapy – a collection of therapies that are designed to reduce the discomfort of menopause and limit the symptoms of lowered estrogen and progesterone hormone levels.

Mrs. Morten knew she was going through menopause when she failed to have children after three attempts at In vitro fertilization (IVF) came back negative.

Mrs. Morten has opened up about the incredible experience, telling ‘The Sun’: “The nurse was holding my hand because I was scared it was bad news. I cried because I never thought it would happen to me,” she said, adding: “I was stunned because I had been through the menopause and didn’t think it was possible. I feel I’ve been blessed.”

Now, after she gave up on having children, Mrs. Morten and her husband, Neil, 52, have been blessed with a baby girl, who Mrs. Morten has named Molly. The baby, who weighed 7lb 14oz, was born at Royal Berkshire Hospital and shows no signs of any health complications.

Mrs. Morten laughs as she recalls the magical moment she learnt that she’d be a mother, saying: “The hospital doctor was looking at the monitor as he rolled the scanner over my stomach and said, 'Your ovaries are fine but look at this.' I looked at the screen and could see a baby. I said, 'Is this mine?'"

The revelation has even more significance for Mrs. and Mr. Morten, who has always hoped to start their very own family. Since being married in 2003, Neil and Tess were frustrated when their regular attempts to have a child continued to fail.

The repeated disappointments led to the couple paying £20,000 for three separate rounds of IVF. When this costly procedure also failed, Mr. and Mrs. Morten concluded that one of them was infertile or Tess was going through menopause.

After Mr. and Mrs. Morten accepted that they would never have biological children, the couple began fostering three children.

Medical professionals have weighed in on Mrs. Morten’s magical birth and believe that ovulation might have been kick-started by the hormone therapy treatment drugs that she was consuming. “In the past we’ve seen it happen with women who have gone through early menopause,” said Dr. Greeta Nargund, St George’s Hospital’s head of reproductive medicine.

“There’s a very small chance of that happening. It’s possible for ovulation to continue on and off around the age of menopause but not once a woman is completely post-menopausal.”
