With Trumpcare Threatening Lives Of Millions, One Website Offers Small Consolation

With the repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act, tens of millions of people are in danger of losing their healthcare coverage. If you fear that this sudden loss of coverage may kill you, you don't have to take your death lying down. A website is offering to help you get the last word.

A new website, MailMeToTheGOP.com, will help you get your message across if the new health care bill ends up killing you. You can arrange to have your cremated remains mailed to the Republican Congressperson of your choice.

Zoey Jordan Salsbury created the website and which allows visitors to sound off on how they're worried about the consequences Trumpcare will have on their health.

One person added to the 'reasons we're going to die' list, "...I have cancer which is a pre-existing condition as per the new bill. You are murderers. Every one of you that voted to repeal ACA. I hope you too have to choose between death and going into debt one day soon."

"Why would you introduce a bill that effectively treats women like their gender is a pre-existing medical condition, and prevent thousands of American families from affordable family plan options like regular pregnancy?" writes another person on the website.

If you want to do more than just gripe about your fate, you can sign up to have your ashes mailed to one of the 217 Republicans who passed the Trumpcare vote on Thursday. The website will send you documents so you can make it legally happen. Salsbury can't send the ashes herself, but she can help people stipulate it in their wills.

“Millions of Americans rely on protections and coverage from the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. The Republicans new bill will gut these protections and many will die,” the website reads. “They deserve to know it. Fill out our form and we’ll help you get papers in order to send your ashes to a GOP member of Congress if you pass.”
