Forget The Klondike Bar, You Won't Believe What She Did For Chicken Nuggets

We all know the feeling of desperation when we see someone eating a food item that we desperately crave but can’t afford. Sometimes, you feel like you’d give anything to get a meal at a fast food restaurant. One woman from Florida has caused outrage after she emphasized the levels she would go to for some chicken nuggets. The woman in question was a 22-year-old named Alex Direeno who was so desperate for nuggets, she approached a man offering anything in exchange for $25 and a serving of chicken nuggets from a McDonald’s located next to a gas station in Manatee County, Florida.

Unluckily for Ms. Direeno, the man she had signaled was actually an undercover police officer. The officer realized that Ms. Direeno was implicitly offering some sort of sexual act in return for the food. The police officer knew he had a responsibility to ensure that there wasn’t a prostitution ring operating at the gas station, especially so close to a fast food restaurant and playground. The undercover police officer hinted that he would only agree to Ms. Direeno’s terms if she provided him with oral sex. When Ms. Direeno quickly agreed, the officer revealed his profession and swiftly arrested the woman on charges of prostitution.

After searching Ms. Direeno’s vehicle, parked nearby, the unnamed police officer discovered a slew of drug paraphernalia, including: 2 hypodermic needles, several small plastic zip-lock bags, a small spoon and a scorched glass pipe. Consequently, the police officer was also forced to charge Ms. Direeno with possession of drug paraphernalia. It has since been revealed that the month before the bizarre incident, Ms. Direeno had been in court, pleading guilty for drug paraphernalia and grand theft auto.

When considering the items found in her vehicle and Ms. Direeno’s erratic, desperate behavior, it appears likely that the woman was a user of some kind of drug. One online commentator has theorized that Ms. Direeno was dependent on heroin, saying: “Heroin and chicken nuggets......the two most powerfully addictive substances known to man.”
