Obamas Adoration For Each Other Remains Strong After Awards Recognition Acceptance Speech

Is there any couple more adorable than former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama? Watching them go on dates, seeing them fist-bump each other, or hearing Michelle refer to her husband as 'swagalicious' is enough to make you believe in true love. At a recent awards ceremony, Mr. Obama took the time to thank his lovely wife.

A lot of scandalous rumors have been surfacing about Mr. Obama's relationships before Michelle. One author recently published an unauthorized biography, 'Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama’ by David Garrow, and revealed that Barack had popped the question to another woman before he met Michelle, and he even continued dating that woman after he started dating Michelle. Whether the claims are true or not, it really isn't an issue. once Barack and Michelle tied the knot, they have only had eyes for each other.

When they are with each other in public or talk about each other, it is clear to see the romance is still alive between Barack and Michelle Obama. You can't fake those kinds of sparks. Whatever past relationships they might have had were clearly left in the past a long time ago.

When Mr. Obama won the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage award, as usual, he didn't forget his wife in his acceptance speech and give her credit for being his partner in life and in politics. At the presentation of the award on Sunday, Barack says, "I also want to thank Michelle Obama for, after the presidency, sticking with me, because I think she felt an obligation to the country to stay on, but once her official duties were over, it wasn’t clear.”

The comment drew laughter from members of the audience, and then Barack continued, "I love my wife and I’m grateful for her, and I do believe that it was America’s great good fortune to have her as first lady.”

In or out of the White House, the Obamas are still going strong.
