Is There A Secret To The First Couple's Marital Success?

As the one year anniversary of President Donald Trump’s stunning victory over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton approaches, there remains a tremendous amount of fascination with all things Trump-related. While it’s normal for the public to be pretty intrigued by the person that occupies the Oval Office, it’s not hyperbole to say that we haven’t seen this much interest in a president since the days of President John F. Kennedy.

While thoughts of Camelot are absent when the mind turns to Trump, both supporters and detractors can’t seem to get enough. That applies to the president’s family as well, as there’s an extreme amount of coverage of what his offspring may be saying or doing at any point in time. That also extends to First Lady Melania Trump, even though she tries to shy away from the spotlight. Her hubby does anything but that, and that naturally leads to speculation about how the couple works when they seem to be quite different from the outside looking in.

As Inquisitr shares, there has been plenty of mental capital devoted to that very fact. In fact, there’s always plenty of gossip making the rounds that there may actually be some trouble in paradise. So is there? We have no idea, and we really can’t put all that much weight into unsubstantiated rumors and gossip. For example, before the Inauguration, the First Couple made it clear that Melania would be staying behind in New York City so that Barron Trump could finish out the school year.

So what happened after the Inauguration? There were a ton of stories making the rounds that Melania was staying behind in NYC, and many were speculating that this was a clear sign that the couple was on the outs. The rumor mill ran rampant, and the hysteria eventually ran its course. Fast forward to today, and Melania and Barron are in the nation’s capital - just like the couple said would happen.

That example perfectly demonstrates how we can’t read too much into the gossip that makes the rounds, but it doesn’t answer the question on what makes the couple work. Again, there are no clear-cut answers here - but there is a trail of clues that we can follow. In previous interviews before he was the most powerful man in the land, Trump revealed that he and his wife share neither a bathroom or a bed. While they sleep in the same bedroom, they keep separate beds.

Melania has made it clear that she’s not one to nag and quite self-sufficient in a couple of interviews, and that she takes the reigns on parental responsibilities since her husband travels so much. In addition, we can look back to the aforementioned preferences on the spotlight: the president likes it, while his wife shies away. That allows him to take the lead in a lot of cases.

So there you have it. All those things combined may point to a happy marriage. Unless it doesn’t. Either way, you can rest assured that the speculation will not be stopping anytime soon.
