Woman Says She Waited Over 5 Years To Sleep With Husband, Explains Why

A 21-year-old beauty and lifestyle vlogger has made headlines after she shared a controversial video to her YouTube channel, sharing her advice to any young teens who wish to abstain from sex until they’re married. Milena Ciciotti, from Michigan, revealed to her followers that she and her husband of four months had both abstained from sex whilst they dated.

Offering her own insight into the matter, Ms. Ciciotti shared her own personal struggle in a bid to help other teens going through a similar experience.

“I’m not making this video to look down at people who have had sex before marriage, but for younger people who are waiting and need some advice,” Ms. Ciciotti stated at the beginning of her video, broaching the subject of abstinence with her devoted fan base.

When Ms. Ciciotti was just 12-years-old, she attended a purity event at her local church. It was here that she received her first purity ring and decided she wanted to “stay pure,” and wait until marriage before she had sex.

At age 15, Ms. Ciciotti met her now-husband, Jordan. Thankfully for Ms. Ciciotti, both she and Jordan where on the same page regarding abstinence, with Jordan also wanting to wait until marriage.

The couple dated for five years, taking some extreme measures to minimize any temptation that they may have faced. While sex wasn’t really an issue when the pair first started dating, it became more difficult to abstain as their relationship grew more serious.

“We got more serious and you have your ups and downs, so it’s not all always easy and it’s not always really hard either. Sometimes you just get into the routine and you forget about it,” Ms. Ciciotti confessed, revealing a number of things the couple did to minimize temptation.

The couple would never be home alone together, would not lie in bed together or stay up really late together. The couple would also avoid swimming or wearing a bathing suit around each other.

“I was always tempted, my husband is a good-looking man,” Ms. Ciciotti joked.

Ms. Ciciotti suggested that any couples who are abstaining from sex should discuss any temptations they may face and avoid doing those things. Furthermore, Ms. Ciciotti suggested not talking about sex, reasoning that “the more you talk about it, the more you get curious about it.”

Ms. Ciciotti also discussed the difficulties that both she and Jordan faced in high school. The couple were both bullied by their peers for their choice to abstain, with many people calling Ms. Ciciotti “weird.”

As her wedding day approached, Ms. Ciciotti also had to face a constant stream of comments regarding the couple’s sex lives and friends asking her if she would know what to do. Ms. Ciciotti assured her followers that experience doesn’t matter, stating “you guys will not know what to do, it’ll be messy, it won’t be perfect, it won’t be like the movies and that is ok.”

Ms. Ciciotti finished off her video with a reassuring message for any teens hoping to abstain, confessing that the experience created a much more intimate relationship with her husband: “You both don’t know what you’re doing, you’re both learning and experiencing and getting to know each other’s bodies together, and it builds this very intimate, intense moment that you will only have with your husband or wife.”
