Woman Shoots Man in the Penis, Testicles. Says She Had a Bad Feeling

An Arizona woman suspected her boyfriend of cheating, so she grabbed a gun and headed to their home. She shot him seven times in total, including one shot to the penis and once in each of his balls. The man survived.

The victim's name has not been released, and it's unclear at this point if he actually was having an affair. The sleeping man didn't suspect anything when Delia Mary Flores, 53, approached him with a .32-caliber revolver and opened fire.

The two had been dating for two years and were living together when Flores began to suspect her lover of being unfaithful. He was sleeping on a chair on Saturday evening when what he thought were fireworks woke him up. He then later told police he felt 'excruciating pain in his lower extremities'.

Flores had shot him in multiple places, including once in the penis and twice in the scrotum. She then called 911 for help and told the dispatcher her boyfriend had been shot. She said she didn't know how it happened.

When police arrived, Flores admitted that she was the one who shot the man because she suspected him of being unfaithful. Police found the gun under the chair. A receipt they found showed she had purchased the gun 10 days earlier.

The boyfriend, who survived the shooting, said he didn't know Flores knew how to use a gun. He also insisted that he hadn't been cheating on her.

"The fact that there were gunshots directed at the victim's neck near his head, and that the victim was sleeping at the time of the shooting and no argument was taking place, it is believed that the defendant intentionally planned to shoot the victim with premeditation," stated police in court documents.

Flores has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She's being held on a $750,000 bond.
