Woman Suing To Get Her Job Back After Striptease On Company Account

It's not unusual for employees to feel frustrated after being fired. Some employees even fight back because they feel they were unjustly let go. But sometimes the company has good reason to get rid of an employee. One woman terminated for a major mistake is now suing to get her job back.

Lynn Dorsey was a tourism director for Webster Parish, Louisiana. Her job included being in charge of the company's social media accounts. The 61-year-old was issued an iPhone 7 so that she could always have access. She also used the phone to keep in touch with her husband, Billy Dorsey, when she had to travel.

Lynn had to take a business trip in December but she wanted to keep the romance alive between her and Billy. To spice up the marriage she checked into her hotel room and used her iPhone to film herself doing a striptease.

Unfortunately, the social media director goofed. Instead of filming a private clip to send to her husband, she live-streamed her dance to her company's Instagram account. Followers got the alert and checked in to see the show, which lasted about 30 minutes. Apparently, Lynn is very thorough.

The woman was horrified to realize the mistake she had made. The account has since been set to private. “It was a horrible, honest mistake. I am mortified. I would never send that type of content out intentionally. It was a very private message for my husband; it was a brand-new phone and a new Instagram feature. I am a new Instagram user, and unfortunately I pressed the wrong button,” she explained.

Lynn was fired, but now she's filed a suit against the Webster Parish Convention and Visitors' Bureau in a brave attempt to get her job back. She's also asking for compensation for damages, civil penalties, and legal fees.

Clearly, this woman will survive her embarrassment; that lawsuit shows she has a lot of nerve.
