12-Year-Old Boy Found Alone, Naked, Covered in Feces. Police Reveal Who’s Behind It

A New York mom is facing charges after her blind, autistic 12-year-old son was discovered by police alone, naked and covered in feces. The police report noted the boy was malnourished, and appeared to only be about eight-years-old.

It seems that neighbors called police to the home in the Port Richmond Avenue area of Staten Island because the boy had been banging on a window and yelling for more than two hours. Police noted that the home was rank with the odor of urine and feces. They also reported there was dried excrement attached to the back of the boy's legs.

The police report also noted they had been with the boy for close to 90 minutes when his 29-year-old mom, Ashley Bronte, showed up.

Despite being gone for at least four hours, she lied to police saying she had only left for a short while buy some diapers for her son Eliezer. She told the police "He's blind. He suffers from epilepsy and has some sort of autism. I need to give him his medical marijuana. He's in an experimental program."

Bronte's lawyer Joseph Sorrentino was interviewed by local media sources and commented: "I believe that we will be able to present to the district attorney's office ample evidence that Ms. Bronte did not mistreat or neglect her son. She loves her son and she wants what's best for him."

Bronte is currently facing charges of attempted child abandonment, endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person in the first degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The New York state Administration for Children's Services was contacted, and Eliezer was remanded into the custody of an aunt.

Of note, it seems that Bronte remains on probation after making a plea deal back in 2015 regarding charges of possession of 350 bags of heroin.
