Birth Photographer Hears Woman is Having a C-Section, Refuses to Take Photos

An unhappy expectant mother is criticizing a professional birth photographer who is refusing to work with her because she has decided to have a C-section.

A series of text messages between the mom and the photographer have gone viral after the pregnant woman posted the thread on a Facebook group for moms.

The soon to bed mom explains in the messages that she didn't “opt” for a C-section and accuses the photographer is “discriminating” against women in terms of their method of birth.

The sharp-tongued photog struck back with several spiteful messages, saying: “A surgery isn't birth, my dear” and saying she had no desire to take pictures of the surgical procedure.

The photographer replied she would happily schedule an appointment if the mom decided to “give motherhood a go”.

The strongly opinionated photographer continued: “This motherhood job is hard, if I were you I would think twice about starting such a job by cutting corners so early in the game'.

Many members of Facebook community were upset about the photographer's comments, defending the mom to be and insisting that a C-section is a major operation and a big deal.

Poster Roisin Niamh slammed the photog for suggesting women are not “cut out for motherhood” unless they give birth “at sunset in crystal clear ocean water with dolphins swimming around you”.

Another jokingly said the phrase “Happy Birthday” should be switched to “Happy Removal Day”.

One angry poster remarked the photographer would be needing surgery to “remove my foot from her a**” while another said: “You should post this b****'s name. This infuriates me and I can't even make a joke. Sorry I didn't just let us both die after 18 years of trying.”

Several other angry posters called for the insensitive birth photographer to be named and shamed, with a couple of posters saying the thread had left them with their “jaw on the ground”.

The Facebook post with the text messages has already received more than 4000 shares.
