Dad Hears Daughter Screaming In Bounce House, Sees Her Hair Is Stuck To The Sides

Most parents today know that the inflatable plastic “bounce houses” that you see at many traveling fairs and amusement parks (and can be rented) are dangerous. It is easy to get hurt by bouncing too high and landing wrong, and out of control kids hitting each other leads to a variety of injuries.

Despite this, the parents of a girl named Angela went ahead and let their daughter play in a bounce house at an outdoor festival near their home.

They remember saying it was only for younger kids, and that bounce houses were really designed for young children.

Everything seemed fine for almost a half hour, then Angela’s dad heard a “blood-curdling scream” he recognized as his daughter.

He ran up to the bounce house, and saw that her hair had become attached to the Velcro that was holding together various sections of the bounce house.

Not knowing what else to do, Angela’s dad cut out the section of the bounce house attached to Angela’s hair with a knife, and then took her to a nearby hospital.

Unfortunately, the doctors could not find a method to safely untangle the girl’s hair from the Velcro, so she went home and her mom worked with her daughter for four hours, trimming the bits of Velcro out of her hair.

After this horrible experience, Angela’s family wants to warn other parents to not let their children play in bounce houses. It’s simply too dangerous, no matter how carefully supervised or the ages and sizes of the children involved.
