Mom Thinks She Knows Son-In-Law, So She Digs Into The Past - Finds Incredible Photo

Leave it to a nosey mother-in-law to do a little digging to find something shocking about her daughter's new husband. In this case, however, it was not bad news.

In fact, it was great news - it turned out that this romance was destined to be.

Heidi and Ed Savitt were married this past summer after a long courtship. They met back in 2011 at Newcastle University in London.

Heidi got a text message from someone who was now living in the student house she occupied a year earlier. He was having trouble getting the dryer running, and wanted to know if she knew any tricks.

After talking about the dryer, the two started talking about other things. They agreed to meet, and sparks flew.

After the two got engaged, Heidi introduced Ed to her mother, Kay Parker. Kay started having suspicions that there was more to this relationship than there seemed to be, so she started digging into Ed's life.

Kay got in touch with Ed's mother, Fiona Savitt. She told Fiona that she used to adore taking sailing holidays with the family, and Fiona admitted that the Savitt family did the same thing.

This wasn't a big shock to Kay.

Kay remembered that Heidi had a cute little 'holiday boyfriend' named Ed when she was just six years old. The two children met when their families were vacationing in Turkey, and the kids spent the two-week holiday playing together and holding hands.

When Fiona heard that, she broke her wine glass. She was shocked, and also developed a sneaking suspicion.

Kay went home and went up into the attic to dig around. She finally found what she'd been looking for: old holiday photo albums.

She dusted them off, and her suspicions were finally confirmed. The Ed her daughter was so inexplicably drawn to in 1997 was the same Ed she was marrying now.

She told Heidi, and the bride-to-be was shocked.

"I was screaming, it was just unreal. It's crazy to think we could have got married, shared our lives together, but then never found out about this," she told the Daily Mail.

Heidi says she never believed in destiny before, but now with the old photos she has had a change of heart. She thinks the relationship was fate.

She says that when she met Ed (the first time), she felt a strong pull to him even as a child. When she met him as an adult she felt the same.

She felt comfortable with him and knew quickly that she was going to be with him forever.

Ed and his mother, Fiona, were also shocked. "Oh my goodness, that's Ed!" Fiona shouted when she saw the picture.

She was able to dig up a few more photos from her old holidays. The family is just stunned.

Kay has a theory. She believes that the couple were drawn to each other because of the two weeks they spent together as children.

When they met, she suspects they unconsciously recognized each other, and she thinks that’s probably why they hit it off so well.
