Two Moms Furious When Someone In Day Care Waxed Their Toddlers' Eyebrows

The last thing any parent would expect to find when going to pick up their toddler from day care was that someone would have waxed the child's eyebrows. This is what two mothers who each send their kids to the same facility claim happened, and they've filed reports with the police.

The accounts are now under investigation.

Alyssa Salgado, a 19-year-old mother of a 2-year-old girl, left her daughter at the Boys & Girls Club of Benton in Franklin County, Washington. When the mom returned to pick up her daughter, she noticed something odd about the child's eyebrows: some were missing.

Not only was her daughter's eyebrow hair sparse, but there appeared to be red skin below the eyebrow line. It looked as though her daughter's eyebrows had been waxed.

The thought was unbelievable — who would wax a 2-year-old's eyebrows? That's not exactly a way to pass the time with kids and keep them occupied. But when Salgado spoke out about it, she found out she wasn't the only parent who has had this problem.

"I take my daughter to the CBC Daycare to be cared for while I'm at school trying to focus on graduating!" the mom vented on Facebook. "Then I go pick up my daughter yesterday and saw a red mark in between her eye brows I think it's a scratch but as soon as a get home I get a closer look these WOMEN decided to WAX MY DAUGHTERS uni brow."

The mom showed before and after photos, and said she tried contacting the director of the day care. The administrator, she claims, gave her a number of excuses.

The young mother brought her daughter to see the director, but claims, "She laughs in my face telling me a bunch of lies and I do get upset!!!"

On the same day, Glenda Maria Cruz, another mother whose young son goes to the same day care, says it looked like someone waxed the boy's eyebrow.

"Their skin is really delicate and no lady has the right to do this to any kid and when we went to [confront] the lady who is in charge there all she said was that she talked to her staff and they all say the didn't do it and then she asked me what I wanted with a smile on her face and then told me that no one is forcing me to bring my son [to] CBC daycare," read Cruz's post on Facebook.

"He's just a baby he can't defend himself he's not even 2 yet and I'm at a point right now that I feel like a bad mom because I can't protect him when he needs me the most," she added.

Allegedly, there is an employee at the daycare center who can’t seem to handle a hint of a unibrow. Both the moms have gone to the police to file complaints.

Both Cruz and Salgado have pulled their kids out of the daycare. Salgado complains that because she has no other child care, she has been unable to attend school since taking her daughter out of the facility.

"The Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties is investigating a parent complaint at our childcare center operated for the Pasco School District at Columbia Basin College," read a statement from the Boys & Girls Club.

"The Boys & Girls Club takes these allegations seriously and will work to support the investigation process. The Boys & Girls Club is committed to operating safe and supportive programs to serve the youth of our community, and has been recognized for providing quality programs serving youth of all ages."

The Washington State Department of Early Learning is also investigating the center. The department issues licenses to childcare centers.
