Befuddled Donald Trump Draws Attention - Wanders Away From Limo On Airport Tarmac

President Donald Trump has become the butt of numerous jokes and laughs again after fumbling on the tarmac. While the ineptitude of the president is good for a laugh from his detractors, there might be a more serious underlying issue at play. Some are very concerned about the mental health of the POTUS, and believe this bungle is just another piece of evidence that points to a big problem.

After his thirty-fourth golf trip in six months, President Trump returned home to Washington D.C. Air Force One delivered Trump from his country club in Bedminster, New Jersey to Joint Base Andrews on Monday, and the president disembarked the plane.

Right outside the plane was a black limousine adorned with American flags and surrounded by staff members. How the POTUS could have missed this huge car and crowd, parked directly in front of steps he just walked down, is anyone's guess. But instead of walking toward the car, Trump, looking confused, began to wander away.

A Secret Service agent jumped to the president's assistance and directed him back to the limo. Trump pointed at it and nodded - by George, I think he's got it. But the move, which was caught on camera, has been shared around on the internet for laughs.

Some staunch Trump supporters have rushed to the president's defense.

“You make him sound as if he’s an idiot,” began one commenter with what is perhaps the most ironic statement of the year. “[T]he fact is, President Trump always takes Marine One from Andrew Air Force Base to the White House, so he walked towards the Marine One chopper when his aide told him they’ll use the vehicles this time.”

That might have actually been a good argument, had there not been the president's limo, a waiting driver and team of staff members just a few feet in front of Trump. One even had his hand on the door in wait.

The argument also falls apart in light of some other dimwitted moves made by Trump caught on film recently. During a press conference with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump wandered off again, and forgot to shake the Prime Minister's hand.

Some worry that this is more than just fodder for laughter. What if the 70-year-old president is suffering from the early stages of dementia. After all, Trump rambles a lot in his speeches and on social media. In one Tweet, he trailed off with a baffling non-word and ended mid-sentence. He gets very paranoid, thinking everyone is out to get him. He's very aggressive at times, and can't seem to stop bullying people on social media. He tweets at all hours of the night and loses track of time.

Another thing to consider is that Trump's father died in 1999 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer’s is thought to be genetic.

So, while we may joke and scoff at some of the surprising moves the president makes, the scarier thought is that we might have a Commander-in-Chief who is beginning to mentally decline.
