Donald Trump Figure Hits Disney World - People On Twitter Agree It Looks Like An Aging Chucky Doll

Every time we get a new president, the folks at Walt Disney World refurbish the Hall of Presidents to include a new animatronic figure. The popular theme park attraction has reopened with the latest addition: President Donald J. Trump.
Like every president since Bill Clinton, the current POTUS closes the show with a brief but inspiring speech. Some people just can't get past the looks of the giant Trump figure, though.

Disney's animatronic figures are usually very lifelike and something of a modern marvel. If you've ever been to the Hall of Presidents, located in the Liberty Square section of the Magic Kingdom, you probably have felt the awe that comes with gazing on the stage at the very realistic looking moving, talking figures of some of the most powerful men in history.

The latest figure, though, is, not surprisingly, causing quite a bit of controversy.

The controversy over the Trump presidential figure began earlier in the year, when the theme park first closed the attraction down to revamp it. A lot of people suggested that Trump's role should be minimal.

One webmaster who runs a website about Florida theme parks said, “I truly believe they are going to have it be very brief, and he’ll say something like, ‘Make America great again.’ I don’t think they’ll get much more into it than that.”

Someone even started an online petition at change.org to have Trump keep his mouth shut. “We ask that Walt Disney World take a stand against divisive and hurtful rhetoric and have the backs of millions of Americans and people worldwide whose day would be ruined by the depiction of a speech by Donald Trump,” reads the petition.

Apparently, Disney has ignored these concerns among fans and has unveiled the new Trump figure. The giant Trump doll gives a brief speech at the close of the show, voiced by Trump himself. What people find most disturbing about the doll, however, is not the speech; it’s the doll. It looks like something out of your worst Trump nightmare.

People on Twitter have remarked that the moving statue is 'scarier than the real thing'.

"Animatronic Trump somehow looks *worse* than the real Trump. Like someone left him out in the sun too long," wrote a Twitter user.

"Trump robot in the Hall of Presidents looks like a 71-year-old Chucky doll," wrote another.

Some are saying that it looks more like Disney used actor Jon Voight as the model for the figure. Others believe that when Disney started the figure it was supposed to be Hillary Clinton.

"Here me out on this. Clearly Disney had Hilary's robot ready to go and then they had to try and make it look like Trump. Don't hate me. This is just a necessary and painful fact we all need to deal with," said one Twitter user.

"No joke, that Donald Trump robot at Disney’s Hall of Presidents looks like the child of him, Hillary Clinton, Jon Voight, and Roger Ebert. kill it before AI gives it more than two terms," another said.

Some fans are horrified and plan to skip this attraction on their next visit to the park. "So apparently Hall of Presidents re-opens tomorrow but in my mind it doesn't re-open for at least another 3 years or so..." said one theme park reviewer on Twitter.

Some holding out for impeachment even question why they bothered to put Trump in there. They feel it was a wasted effort and that Disney should have waited a few more weeks to see how the investigation into Trump's alleged collusion of Russia turns any evidence that could have him removed from office.
