Former White House Photographer Trolls Trump's Treatment Of Women By Comparing Him To Obama

President Donald Trump often feigns outrage at the notion that he doesn't treat women with respect. When he joked years ago about using celebrity status to sexually assault a woman, he called it 'locker room talk'. When he bullied women in Twitter wars making fun of their looks because he disagrees with them on issues, he argued that he's defending himself. Even when women are doing a good job, he tends to compliment them in demeaning ways, such as stopping a press conference to tell a female Irish reporter she has a nice smile. Can you imagine him (or anyone) doing that with a male reporter? He doesn't even realize that it comes off as sexist and condescending.

A former photographer of President Barack Obama was hoping to give President Trump a little hint on how to respect women. He posted a series of photos that will make you long for the good old days.

Pete Souza, photographer, Obama supporter and Trump critic, has posted a series of photos of the former president interacting with women on numerous occasions. In a series of tweets, he shows off the 'Obama White House'.

In one, Mr. Obama is seen strategizing with female White House staff members, including his Counselor Kathy Ruemmler and Communications Director Jennifer Palmeiri. In another, Obama is talking to a woman at a Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland, Ohio. In a third photo, the president is hugging a female soldier to welcome her back from a mission in Afghanistan. One photo shows him having lunch with Rebekah Erler, a woman who wrote him a letter about economic challenges in relation to raising a family.

The series was inspired by President Trump's recent comments about MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' host Mika Brzezinski. Brzezinski has never been a fan of Trump, and it's very hard for Trump to take criticism - especially from a woman. The president slammed Brzezinski, not for her job or her political views, but for her appearance.

Trump tweeted that Brzezinski had come to visit him in the past at his Mar-a-Lago estate, and he sent her away on one New Year's Eve. He says she "insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!"

Many people were shocked by the low blow that demonstrates one undeniable fact: that the president believes a woman's main value (or lack thereof) lies in her looks.

"It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job," responded MSNBCPR.

Even Republicans are embarrassed by the way the president behaves with women. His own GOP senators pleaded with him.

"Please just stop. This isn't normal and it's beneath the dignity of your office," tweeted Sen. Ben Sasse.

"Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America," said Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Souza's message was loud and clear.
