Piers Morgan Says We've 'Never Had A President Like Trump', But It's A Good Thing

British journalist and television personality Piers Morgan has been more supportive than most of President Donald Trump, and even now he continues to back the unpopular Commander-in-Chief.

When it comes to Trump, Morgan believes he's figured out why the 'liberal media' hate him so much. He says it's because Trump is the first president in history who actually keeps his promises.

"On social media, every minute of every day, I see hysterical liberals screaming themselves digitally hoarse with rage at his very existence," Morgan writes in an article for the Daily Mail. "I have friends, and indeed family members, who can’t utter his name without physically shuddering.

To them, Trump epitomizes the very worst kind of leader and the very worst kind of American."

Morgan says the reason that most of Trump's enemies hate him with such vehemence is simple: he delivers what he says he will. The problem for liberals is that Trump's campaign promises are not the ones they wanted to see be carried out. That is why the 'resistance' has risen to epidemic proportions, he claims.

Three of Trump's big campaign promises have recently been fulfilled. Within a year in office, Trump has been driving ISIS out of Syria and Iraq. Many attribute this progress to Trump authorizing Gen. James Mattis to do what he needed to do without political agendas.

Economic recovery and growth have finally kicked in under Trump. The stock market is soaring and unemployment rates continue to fall. Many attribute this to Trump reversing the 'over-draconian and panicky regulatory barriers' that were put in place over the last 8 years, the author notes.

Now Trump has confirmed Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, and that the U.S. embassy will be moved there. This is something that not only Trump but previous presidents, as well as Congress, has vowed to do for ages.

Morgan continues to list changes Trump has made, for better or for worse, painting the POTUS as a man of action. "By contrast, Obama – an eloquent, intelligent and thoughtful man liked and admired by almost the entire world – abjectly failed on many of his biggest promises including pledges to close Guantanamo Bay, get new gun control laws, create a path to citizenship for undocumented illegals, reform Washington, and end the war in Afghanistan," Morgan says.

"Donald Trump is an imperfect president in many ways and I say that as someone who has known him as a friend for ten years and likes him," Morgan continued.

He argues that Trump has done 'truly dumb, offensive and totally unnecessary things' like picking twitter fights, retweeting inflammatory fake Muslim attack videos and picking fights with everyone. "Going back over my old columns since his inauguration, I’ve found myself harshly criticizing him as much as I’ve praised him."

"Yet there can be no doubt now that President Trump is a man who is delivering on his promises to the American people who voted for him,” Morgan adds.

That’s what a lot of people are afraid of.
