Video Leaked Of Private Function Where Australian Prime Minister Mocks Donald Trump

President Donald Trump has a real need to be loved and admired, which is unfortunate for him because he makes it all too easy to mock him. A recent video was leaked showing Malcolm Turnbull, the Prime Minister of Australia, making fun of Trump, imitating his speech patterns and talking about how he fixes polls because he has 'this Russian guy'.

Turnbull was speaking at the Canberra Mid-Winter Ball on Wednesday evening, and the swanky event was supposed to be an off-the-record gala. Someone filmed the PM's remarks, which show Turnbull going into a hilarious impersonation of Donald Trump. The room roared with laughter.

Turnbull joked about the infamous phone call between him and Trump shortly after the POTUS took office. Trump reportedly cut him off during the discussion and called it the 'worst phone call so far'.

Trump was reportedly fuming because Turnbull's government wanted to stick with a refugee deal struck with former President Barack Obama. Trump called it the 'worst deal ever', and gave in to pressure to uphold the agreement that would resettle 1,250 refugees from Manus Island.

"It was beautiful, it was the most beautiful putting-me-at-ease ever," Turnbull raved about the phone call at the ball, imitating the overly-enthusiastic tone Trump takes whenever he gets defensive.

Turnbull then really nailed Trump when he talked about how they're both winning in the polls. "The Donald and I, we are winning and winning in the polls... We are winning so much! We are winning like we have never won before! We are winning in the polls - we are! We are!"

"Not the fake polls! Not the fake polls! They're the ones we're not winning in. We're winning in the REAL polls, you know, the ONLINE polls! They are so easy to win! I know that. I know that. Did you know that? They are so easy to win... I have this Russian guy... Believe me, it's true, it is true."

Trump, who hates criticism and being made fun of, must be positively furious at this leaked footage, but so far he has had the good sense not to respond to it.

Turnbull seemed unflustered by his Trump-shaming getting released. he brushed it off as no big deal. He says it's a tradition to 'poke fun' and called it a 'good-humored roast'.

"Well it is a great tradition, it’s a big charity fundraiser, they raised nearly 400k – it is a good-humored roast really," he said to 3aw. "The Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition give a speech and poke fun. My speech was affectionately light-hearted."

Turnbull said he was disappointed that the video was leaked. "It’s a breach of protocol, it’s a breach of faith and all those things but it’s light-hearted, good-natured… and the butt of all jokes was myself."

He added that next year, he might read 'selected passages from the budget papers' to teach leakers a lesson.
