Woman Got Married And Was Pregnant, Then Learned Her Husband Was A Pedophile

Two weeks after getting married, a pregnant woman learned that her life was not going to be what she thought it would be.

She got the shocking news that her new husband and father of her baby was a pedophile.

That brought the relationship to a screeching halt. Sadly, the woman had a miscarriage.

Lisa Gray, a 35-year-old mother of seven, thought she'd met the man of her dreams. She married John Gray, a man she met through work, after a whirlwind romance.

Thirteen days after tying the knot, the marriage was irreparably damaged. Police showed up to arrest John and raid the family home because he was suspected of sexually abusing children.

John had been in a chat room with another woman and had been bragging about sexual assaults on children. The anonymous source tipped off authorities, who appeared on the family's doorstep to search the premises.

"There was a computer that was brought to the property by him and that resided in the bedroom. The children could get into it if they needed to do homework," said Lisa.

The computer reportedly held evidence that John did have the conversation with the woman who reported him. The messages were sent to the other woman, who he met on Facebook, just a month before he married Lisa.

Also on the computer, police found Gray had been discussing and exchanging child pornography with other people via Skype.

Gray admitted sending grossly offensive or obscene messages to the woman who initially reported him, but denies any discussions or having any child pornography in his possession.

Police say in conversations back and forth with another person on the internet, it appears as though they were exchanging videos. Pauses in the conversations indicate they were watching the videos before getting back online to discuss them.

"The user of the devices has carried out internet searches for images of young girls. They received and maintained indecent images of children," said an investigator in a press conference.

"They created indecent images of children."

The investigator continued, "The content of the conversations discussed indecent images. Videos of young children being sexually abused are discussed and files are exchanged, but the exact content is not known."

"When he is offered a video of a one-year-old child, the accused states: 'Older than that please - but surprise me'."

Instead of a honeymoon, Lisa found herself in court testifying against her husband. Authorities don't suspect her of having any knowledge of her husband's criminal activity.

"We got married on October 22, 2016," she began.

"He was arrested on November 3 and from then he has never returned to the property. The marriage is over," she said.

"It lasted a week and a half or possibly two weeks. We haven't lived together since he was arrested."

She was pregnant with his child, but Lisa claims to have had a miscarriage. None of her other seven children were fathered by John, she reports.

Mr. Gray was found guilty of downloading child pornography and of having illicit images. He was given a deferred sentence and has been added to the sex offender’s registry.
