Biden's Daughter Makes Shocking Revelation About Him

Joe Biden's daughter, Ashley, recently made a comment about her father that's raising some eyebrows.

We still have a long way to go for the next go round in the world of presidential politics, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation from ramping up. From the time President Donald Trump stunningly upset Hillary Clinton, there have been a ton of rumblings about who will be the Democratic challenger come 2020. A couple of names remain at the top of the list, and there’s now a glimmer of hope that a candidate that previously passed on the opportunity may be reconsidering. Additionally, one awfully famous woman is being mentioned as the Democrats' best hope.

As CNN shares, former Vice President Joe Biden took a pass on running in 2016 for personal reasons, but his daughter indicates he may have change of heart next time.

"Right now, his focus is on the (Biden) Foundation and Cancer Moonshot, as well as getting other Democrats elected. He's not there. He's taking it day by day after the loss of my dear beloved brother (Beau)," Ashley Biden said during an interview with Women’s Wear Daily. "He'll make a decision when that time comes," she continued. "A lot can happen in four years and we know this as a family. If he is in good health, knock on wood, and seeing what the landscape is at the time, yeah, I think he is considering it."

His wife, Jill Biden, has also dropped some hints that her husband will remain relevant in the world of politics.

"He loves politics, he loves what he's doing, and he said he would stay involved," she said.

Prior to last year’s election, Biden candidly revealed what prevented him from throwing his hat into the ring.

"I lost part of my soul when my boy died," he said during an interview with CNN. "You should never, ever, ever commit to run for president unless you know you can look the people in the eye and say, 'I guarantee you, you have all of my being, all of my energy, all of my family's energy to get this done.' I wish I were a better man but I just wasn't ready to do that."

While Biden is certainly one popular name to consider, there’s another one that’s coming up in conversations an awful lot these days. Former First Lady Michelle Obama has been viewed as someone that could have a big future in politics if she chooses to go that route. Pollster Doug Schoen noted in a recent column for The Hill that she may be the best choice for a party looking to rebound.

“Michelle Obama stands a cut above the rest as the only prospective candidate who can bring the party together, rebuild the Obama coalition, win back the Midwest and, thus, win the presidency,” he wrote.

We still have plenty of ways to go before the race for 2020 begins, and the landscape could look awfully different by that point. For the time being, we can expect these two names to continue to top the list of potential contenders.
