Clinton To Flynn - What Goes Around, Comes Around

While there's scandals brewing in the Trump campaign, Hillary Clinton and her former staff are apparently loving it. One of Ms. Clinton's former aides took to Twitter to gloat over the downfall of President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn.

“What goes around COMETS around,” said Philippe Reines, one of Clinton's former top aides, in a tweet. "And given your pizza obsession," he added, followed by the job listings at Domino’s Pizza.

The former secretary of state followed up with a tweet of her own: "Philippe's got his own way of saying things, but he has a point about the real consequences of fake news."

The reference to comets and pizza comes from Michael Flynn and his son and former aide, Michael Flynn, Jr., supporting and spreading a conspiracy theory that came to be known as 'PizzaGate'. The Flynns accused Hillary Clinton and her campaign manager John Podesta of taking part in a massive child sex slavery ring based in a Washington pizza and ping pong joint.

Conspiracy theorists went nuts when the 'news' story of Comet Ping Pong was thrown on the internet, and they ran with it. YouTube Videos, Facebook posts and Twitter warnings about a secret pedophile organization abound. Some of the accusations and narratives became so intense, that it prompted a man to violence.

Edgar Maddison Welch, 28, a North Carolina citizen who was taken in by the conspiracy theory decided to 'self-investigate' the story. He headed to Washington D.C. and open fired inside the restaurant, demanding to free the child sex slaves.

Unfortunately for Welch, there were none, and there was no evidence. It was a big, phony conspiracy theory, of course. It turned out that when Clinton, Podesta or any of the Clinton camp mentioned getting pizza in emails, they were not using ‘pizza’ a code word for molesting children; they were actually talking about lunch.

The Flynns refused to back down, however; particularly Flynn Jr., who posted, “Until #Pizzagate proven to be false, it’ll remain a story,” Flynn Jr. tweeted. “The left seems to forget #PodestaEmails and the many ‘coincidences’ tied to it.”

Looks like Team Clinton is getting the last laugh on this one.
