Reporter Who Covered Trump On Campaign Trail Reveals Disturbing Thing He Did

The 2016 presidential campaign has been in the books for some time now, and it even seems like the dust is finally starting to settle. However, that doesn’t mean the stories of things that happened during that fascinating time will stop creeping in anytime soon. In fact, it’s quite the contrary, as some folks that had a front row seat to the greatest show in politics have started putting pen to paper.

As Aol shares, MSNBC’s Katy Tur has written a book about her experiences on the trail. "Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History," tells the story of the 2016 campaign through her lenses, and her allusion to being right in the thick of things is not hyperbole. Tur was quickly assigned to trailing Trump as he ran for office, and she worked at a breakneck pace due to all of the attention he was generating.

Tur made a big name for herself as a result, and she now hosts her own show on MSNBC. She’s making headlines for a different reason right about now, as one of the stories from her book has been making the rounds. Tur recalls running into the future president before one of his appearances on ‘Morning Joe,’ and things quickly got uncomfortable for her.

"Before I know what's happening, his hands are on my shoulders and his lips are on my cheek," she recalls. "My eyes widen. My body freezes. My heart stops."

She goes onto explain that she had a really big concern right after that went down.

"F***. I hope the cameras didn't see that, " she adds. "My bosses are never going to take me seriously."

Tur had a number of dustups on the trail with Trump, and she recalls one memorable exchange she had with him after an interview on 2015.

"You'll never be president!" Tur claims that Trump told her.

"Neither will you," she recalls thinking.

She was wildly wrong with that assessment, but many other folks missed the mark on Trump’s viability as a candidate as well. Tur became a popular target for Trump while he was out on the trail, and he dubbed her with the name "Little Katy." He would also claim that she’s a "third-rate reporter" that had "no access" to him or his campaign. Based on all the reports she filed while following Trump, it certainly seemed like she did.

Trump has apparently became aware that Tur has written a book about her experiences on the trail, as he dropped a curious post on social media recently.

"Fascinating to watch people writing books and major articles about me and yet they know nothing about me & have zero access. #FAKE NEWS!" he wrote.

Trump had better get used to the books thing, as this will be far from the last one detailing last year’s campaign to hit the shelves. There remains a ton of interest in stories related to it, and those with books in the works know they had best strike while the iron is hot.
