Twenty Years After Her Marriage, Bride Finally Gets To Share Dance With Dad At Wedding

One father had to wait 20 whole years to walk his daughter down the aisle and share a dance with her on her wedding day. He was actually glad to have the chance, though, as it looked as though he missed his chance the first time around and there was nothing to be done about it.

At the time, when his daughter first got married, she and her father were estranged. When she and her husband renewed their vows on their 20th wedding anniversary, though, she made sure to enjoy those precious moments with her dad.

A woman known as Charlene had a falling out with her father many years ago. Her mother and father had gotten divorced, and things had gotten ugly.

The young girl went years without talking to her dad. There were no visits, no phone calls, no family holidays—just, nothing. It’s sad when family relations fall apart like that, but Charlene just went on with her life as though her father didn’t exist.

When Charlene got married twenty years ago, she didn't want her father to attend the occasion at all. In fact, she banned him from the big event. She and her groom celebrated their nuptials among family and friends, minus the one.

Charlene did have a beautiful wedding, even without her father present. She and her husband had a strong and stable marriage that lasted the test of time.

Thankfully, a few years after she got married and settled down, Charlene and her father realized the importance of family. They reunited, they settled their differences and the walls between them crumbled. He may have missed the wedding, but at least the family was together again, and nothing was going to tear them apart ever again.

That alone could have been a happy ending to the story, but it gets even better. Now, 20 years after the first time Charlene got married, she had a second wedding. No, she didn't get divorced - she and her husband of 20 years are still going strong. They’re so strong, in fact, that they decided to celebrate their anniversary by renewing their vows.

Charlene always thought her wedding day was the happiest day of her life, and she wanted to recreate that happy day as much as possible. She wore the same wedding dress that she wore 20 years ago.

The groom dressed the same. They had it all planned out, except for one major change: this time, Charlene wanted her dad to be part of it all.

A tear-jerking video shows Charlene and her husband exchanging vows and celebrating their ongoing love for each other. It also shows her father sharing that special father-daughter dance at her reception at long last. She might not have believed it as a bride 20 years ago, but it turned out that her second wedding was even more magical and perfect than her first wedding day.
